| “The Compulsory Education English Curriculum Standards(2022 Edition)”high lights the education-oriented approach of the English curriculum,updates the curriculu m concept,and clearly proposes to give full play to the leading role of core competenc e.As one of the components of core competence,English Linguistic competence has l aid a foundation for the development of students’ core competence.Drama in Educatio n,as a teaching method with comprehensive,communicative,and interactive characte ristics,provides a possibility for improving students’ English Linguistic competence.T he purpose of this study is to summarize the teaching design process of using Drama i n Education to improve the English Linguistic competence of primary school students based on the current situation of students’ English Linguistic competence,and to explo re whether it can improve the current situation of primary school students’ English lan guage learning and ultimately improve students’ English Linguistic competence by im plementing Drama in Education in primary school English teaching.Firstly,the literature analysis method was used to summaries the relevant studies on Drama in Education and English linguistic competence;secondly,questionnaires a nd test papers,supplemented by classroom observation scales,were used to investigat e and analysis the current situation of the language ability of fifth grade students;third ly,on the basis of theoretical analysis and analysis of the current situation,the teachin g process of applying Drama in English classroom teaching in primary schools was so rted out and an instructional design was carried out;finally,through experimental met hod to carry out the teaching implementation of the Drama in Education to improve pr imary school students’ linguistic competence and conduct teaching research.The study found that the use of Drama in Education enriched classroom teaching methods,attra cted students’ attention and enhanced their interest in learning;Drama in Education de veloped students’ language knowledge and skills,and significantly improved students’ linguistic competence in terms of perception and accumulation,acquisition and constr uction,and expression and communication.At the same time,the paper also makes rec ommendations based on reflections on the implementation process,with a view to pro viding reference for frontline teachers when implementing the Drama in Education. |
