Research On The Development History Of Zhejiang Red Culture(1949-1978)

Red culture has a profound historical and social foundation.According to the phased characteristics of the development of red culture in Zhejiang,the historical periodization method is used to divide 1949 to 1978 into three stages: the socialist revolution period(October 1949 to the end of 1956),the comprehensive construction and exploration period(the end of 1956 to 1966),and the tortuous development period(1966 to 1978).The cases and phenomena of Zhejiang red culture in each stage are investigated and studied,and typical ones are selected for discussion.The historical characteristics and development experience of red culture are summarized from the combing of historical development.During the period of socialist revolution and construction,under the guidance of Marxism-Leninism and Mao Zedong Thought,the Communist Party of China led the people of Zhejiang to carry out socialist revolution and promote socialist construction.In this process,a series of material,institutional and spiritual red cultures were developed and created.Zhejiang Province achieved liberation throughout its territory,established party and government organizations at all levels,and completed socialist transformation.Many systems were established and improved,people’s spiritual outlook was renewed,and some even formed precious material remains.The status of red culture has been highlighted and promoted,and it has begun to influence and shape the new social life more widely.After the policy of “letting a hundred flowers bloom and a hundred schools of thought contend” was put forward,the literary and artistic circles in Zhejiang actively implemented it and brought forth new ideas from traditional literature and art.The development of red culture entered a boom in the good start of socialist construction.However,affected by complex international and domestic situations,during exploration,Zhejiang also experienced some “left” deviations and unhealthy phenomena such as exaggeration style and command style,which affected the positive development of red culture.In the tortuous development period,many early red cultural wealth was not valued.In the two years after the end of the “Cultural Revolution”,pragmatic Zhejiang people took the lead in actively discussing the issue of“truth standard”,rectifying chaos,restoring social order.Zhejiang red culture has integrated historical experience lessons and sublimated with the development of times.Zhejiang red culture is a fusion of Marxism with excellent traditional Zhejiang culture.It has both advanced nature under the leadership of the Communist Party of China,cultural character of Zhejiang localities,distinct characteristics of times,advanced culture that changes and shapes new appearance of Zhejiang society,constantly providing cultural material carrier,spiritual support and institutional guarantee for revolution and construction.Born in the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics,we should strengthen the importance of the development history of red culture,draw nourishment from history,adhere to the leadership of the Party,improve the institutional system,carry forward the excellent traditional culture of Zhejiang,inherit spiritual strength,and guard and continue the red roots of Zhejiang.
