| Tang Sancai is a low-temperature colored lead-glazed pottery that flourished in the Tang Dynasty,has received much attention from scholars at home and abroad.Scholars at home and abroad have carried out various researches on the Tang Sancai,mostly focusing on the Sancai wares of the early Tang period.This paper selects the Sancai wares excavated from tombs,kiln sites and sites in the middle and late Tang dynasty as the object of study,and conducts archaeological research on their types,decoration techniques,kilns of origin and consumption use.The specific contents are composed of the following parts.The first part is an introduction to the definition of the concept of Tang Sancai in the Middle and Late Tang dynasties and the relevant excavations and studies,and an explanation of the purpose of this paper and the research methods employed;in the second part,the typological analysis and staging of the wares are made according to their excavation;in the third part,the technical characteristics of the excavated wares are analyzed,and the overall characteristics of the excavated wares in terms of shape,glaze decoration and motifs are discussed.The fourth part is to discuss the production and consumption of Sancai ware in the Middle and Late Tang dynasties,mainly based on the comparison of the excavated Tang Sancai with kiln sites and burial materials in terms of shape and glaze decoration,to speculate on the kiln to which the excavated wares belong,and to analyze the characteristics of the origin of the excavated Tang Sancai in the region;to compile statistics on the types of Sancai wares excavated from burial sites and sites,to understand the consumption demand in different scenarios and the cultural information carried behind them,and to compile statistics on the production and consumption of the excavated Tang Sancai wares.The statistics of the three colorful wares excavated from tombs and sites will help us to understand the consumption demand and cultural information behind the different scenarios,and to compile statistics on the proportion of the three colorful wares excavated in the Tang Dynasty,and to dig deeper into the factors that influenced the change of the production of the wares.The discussion on the shape and decoration of the mid-and late-Tang period Sancai wares,the kiln of origin and the use and consumption is conducive to a deeper understanding of the mid-and late-Tang Sancai,the different characteristics of the first and second periods of the Tang dynasty,the recognition and grasp of the development and evolution of the Tang Sancai,and the deeper understanding of its development trajectory,which is of great significance to the exploration of the social life of the Tang dynasty. |
