Grounding And Ontological Dependence

Since the advent of the concept of grounding,grounding,as a rising star of metaphysics,has become the key to understanding contemporary metaphysics.Before grounding became a central topic in metaphysics,there was also a strong interest in ontological dependence,and there are similarities between the two,both are expressed in terms of "dependence" and their use is also similar.In this article,I’ll explore the correlation between the two.I think(1)Ontological dependence is different from grounding or factive grounding.(2)The rigid existence of dependencies may be both necessary and sufficient for factive grounding.(3)The way of defining existential dependence through factive grounding ignores the possibility of breaking factive grounding and existential dependence.(4)The concept of ontological dependence is a more fundamental concept than factive grounding and ontological dependence entails factive grounding.To this end,I will refute,the schemes of identity,modality,and definition that characterize grounding and ontological dependence connections in the currently existing literature.revising and defending the grounding plan.
