| The Tang Poems Pin Hui constructs a comprehensive and three-dimensional system of tang poetry evaluation with four tang stagings,nine grades of evaluation,comparison of standards and changes,and separate categories to style.Gao Bing inspected the poetry of the Tang Dynasty as a whole,and anthology its view of poetic style was complex and intertwined.From the review of the narrative of each poetic style,he mainly examined each poetic style in the poetic styles,the type of styles,and the rhythms and tonality three aspects,the poetic styles as a standard framework,the type of styles focusing on the identification of styles and the distinction of character,the rhythm focusing on the presentation of musical beauty and tonality.With the concept of poetry style,Gao Bing created a comprehensive mode of poetic style identification by evaluating Tang poems by the Four Tang and Nine Pins,and by the four elements of rhythms,imagery,diction,and ideological logic.In the evaluation of the standards and changes of poetic styles,the Sheng Tang poems with complete system and lofty artistic style were regarded as the classic paradigm to be studied,which influencing the view of Tang poetry as a literary style in the Ming Dynasty and after.There is a deeper literary criticism and poetry history intention underlying the creation of the poetic styles in the Tang Poems Pin Hui.In terms of its anthology form,the layout of the anthology and the appreciation of Tang poetry contains a sense of anthology style criticism;From the perspective of the history of poetics,Gao Bing act of narrating the origin and development of poetic style implies a sense of constructing the history of poetic style and the history of poetic criticism.The Tang Poems Pin Hui,with its emphasis on the independent existence of the poetic body,has had a profound impact on the theory of Tang poetry,the identification of the styles,the guidance of the Ming people in learning Tang poetry,the transmission of Tang poetry,and the compilation of anthologies of Tang poetry.It was not Gao’s intention that later generations gradually embarked on the narrow road of learning Tang poetry,only in form and ignoring image and even artistic features which has a warning effect on today’s learning and inheritance of traditional culture.Only by grasping the essence of examining the origin and development,distinguishing the styles and integrating the form and spirit can we innovate and change on the basis of it. |
