| Fan Cuiting is the founder of modern Henan Opera.His series of reforms of Henan Opera from the inside out make the appearance of modern Henan Opera gradually clear.Fan Cuiting created more than 70 plays in his life,with a large number of plays and rich themes,which vividly reflected the development track of Henan Opera from immature to mature,and had a great impact on the development track of Henan Opera in later generations.Fan Cuiting was the founder of modern Henan opera,and his series of reforms of Henan opera from the inside out made the face of modern Henan opera gradually clear.During his lifetime,Fan Cuiting composed more than 70 plays,with a large number of repertoire and a rich variety of subjects,vividly and graphically reflecting the development trajectory of Henan opera from infancy to maturity,and exerting a great influence on the trajectory of Henan opera in later generations.Of course,its influence is inseparable from the use of language and writing.However,in the current study,scholars on Fan Cuiting’s plays mainly from the choreographic consciousness,characterization,playwriting achievements,theatrical concepts and other aspects of the discussion,Fan Cuiting’s plays related to the study of language style can not be found.This paper selects 20 classical Fan Citing plays as research objects,based on rhetoric,style and other related theories,and uses literature research,text survey,and qualitative and quantitative analysis to analyze the language style of Fan Cuiting’s plays from rhetoric and style.This article explores the linguistic style of Fan Cuiting’s plays from the perspective of phonetic collocation,vocabulary selection,rhetorical patterns,and the influence of dramatic style,etc.In terms of phonetic collocation,the author analyzes mainly from the aspects of rhyming,rhythmic flexibility,and abundant superimposed sounds,etc.He believes that the use of these phonetic devices makes the text rhythmic,smooth and fluent,and has an exciting and bright musical beauty;in terms of word selection,the author uses a strong local flavor of Henan dialect,familiar language,and playful and lively vulgar language,which makes the work better reflect rural life.In terms of rhetoric,the author makes extensive use of figurative metaphors,moving exaggerations and condensed quotations.The use of this rhetorical style enriches the characters’ images and enhances the infectiousness and convincingness of the language.Based on the above research,the language style of Fan Cuiting’s plays and the objective and subjective factors that led to its formation are further specified,and Fan Cuiting’s dramatic works are considered to be strong,bold,and atmospheric.The three main characteristics are simple and close to people,natural and relevant;vivid image,lively and funny.It is also believed that this is closely related to the author’s fluctuating life experiences,profound literary knowledge of Chinese studies and unique theatrical creation concept.Using the theories of rhetoric and linguistic style to explore the language in 20 classic Fan Cuiting plays,this is of some positive significance for a comprehensive historical grasp of the linguistic features and styles of modern Henan opera. |
