A Study Of Kinship Terms In Cangyuan Dai People

Kinship refers to the social relationship that exists widely in human life due to marriage,consanguinity or adoption,and has legal rights and obligations between each other.Accordingly,the kinship terms that mark this relationship become an important,common and stable part of the vocabulary system.The relatively stable structural form of kinship terms can reveal the contact between a nation’s social culture,marriage system and language to a certain extent.This paper intends to take Cangyuan Dai kinship terms as the research object,combine the literature materials and draw on the previous research results,focus on linguistic theoretical knowledge,combine sociology,ethnology,anthropology and other theories,sort out and describe Cangyuan Dai kinship terms system,and explore the characteristics of its kinship terms from the perspective of vocabulary,semantics,pragmatics,etc.The full text is divided into five chapters:The first chapter is the introduction,which introduces the background and significance of the topic,the overview of the research status,the source of materials,the research ideas and methods,and the overview of the research objects.The second chapter systematically describes the kinship system of Cangyuan Dai language,uses the three-way method to divide Cangyuan Dai language into blood relatives,in-law relatives and spouses for analysis,and uses the form of a list to explain,and summarizes the characteristics of kinship terms in Cangyuan Dai language.On this basis,the paper also analyzes the structural form of kinship terms,and explores the word-formation characteristics of kinship terms from the aspects of phonetic and lexical forms.The third chapter refers to the principles and methods of structural semantics,divides the appellation semantic field into three major categories according to the relationship between the addressee and the addressee: one,two and three,and summarizes the semantic network and semantic combination characteristics of kinship in Cangyuan Dai language.The fourth chapter,based on the actual use of kinship terms in Cangyuan Dai language,divides kinship terms into citation terms and symmetry terms,ranking terms,child terms,husband terms,wife terms,and popular terms from a pragmatic perspective.It focuses on its description and analysis,summarizes the pragmatic characteristics of kinship terms in Cangyuan Dai language and understands the pragmatic rules of kinship terms in practical communication;Secondly,from the perspective of historical linguistics,this paper explores the generalization and simplification of kinship terms in Cangyuan Dai language with the development of the times,and analyzes and summarizes the specific forms and characteristics of their generalization and simplification.The fifth chapter takes Cangyuan Dai language as the research object,analyzes the influencing factors of kinship terms in Cangyuan Dai language,including the type of kinship terms system,social culture,and language contact.The last part is the conclusion,summarizing the views of this paper and pointing out the shortcomings.
