The remains of wells,mainly pottery wells,are widely distributed in the Hexi Corridor,and a large number of them are found.They are one of the important archaeological materials for studying the social culture of the Han and Jin dynasties in the Hexi Corridor.By collecting burial data from the Han and Jin dynasties in the Hexi Corridor,this paper concentrates on the burials with pottery wells unearthed,and studies the distribution areas and distribution characteristics of these tombs.The tombs with pottery wells unearthed in the Hexi area are mainly concentrated in three areas,and the further west the burials,the later the burials.There are only the remains of wells in the Dunhuang area of Jiuquan,and no tombs in the Han and Jin dynasties have been found with pottery wells.There are more than 100 pottery wells excavated from Han and Jin tombs in Hexi Corridor,and the research content of this paper mainly focuses on the characteristics of Hexi pottery wells,the source of artifacts,and the social life and funeral concepts reflected by the wells.Firstly,the typological study of the pottery wells excavated from Han and Jin tombs in Hexi is carried out,the shape of the pottery wells is discussed in detail,and its evolution law is analyzed,and the shape characteristics of the pottery wells in different periods are discussed,which has certain significance for the dating of the pottery wells.Secondly,on the basis of typological research,the pottery wells in different areas of Hexi Corridor are compared,and the shape characteristics of the pottery wells in different areas of Hexi are also different.By comparing the pottery wells unearthed in the Hexi Corridor with those unearthed in the tombs of Han and Jin dynasties in eastern Gansu,Guanzhong,Henan and Xuzhou,the source of the pottery wells in the Hexi Corridor is discussed.It is pointed out that the pottery wells in the Hexi Corridor are deeply influenced by the pottery well culture in Henan and Xuzhou,but the pottery wells in the Hexi area still have distinct local characteristics,which are not found in other areas.In Wei and Jin dynasties,there was a great difference between Hexi pottery well and Henan and Xuzhou pottery well.The influence of pottery wells in Guanzhong area and eastern Gansu Province on the Hexi area is small,but some artifacts or well relics may have had a certain degree of influence on some pottery wells in Hexi.Finally,the social problems related to pottery wells in the Hexi Corridor are discussed,and the life scenes of Wei and Jin in Hexi are described according to the murals of the wells.In addition,in addition to the concept of "death is like life",this article believes that the reason for the burial of the pottery well may also be related to the sacrifice of the well and some specific concepts of the existence of the well in the Han and Jin dynasties.
