Zhou Sicong "Miner Map" Character Ink Modeling Exploration

Zhou Sicong is an outstanding figure painter in the 20 th century.Miners Tu is a representative work in the middle period of his creation.This work is based on the theme of the miners and the background of the Chinese nation and the people to express the pain of Japan’s aggression against China,which is intended to arouse the public’s reflection on the disaster.In this work,Zhou Sicong opened up a new expression of brush and ink expression,made new attempts and explorations on the basis of the skilled use of traditional brush and ink language,and finally formed a unique form of brush and ink,which makes the picture very infectious and shocking.The expression of ink modeling and the exploration spirit in The Miner’s Picture and experience of the painter has important reference value for the creation of contemporary ink figure painting,which has a profound influence on the later painters,and also provides a new direction for the author’s creation.In this paper,it is based on the drawings and sketches in the creation,and analyzes the modeling argument through the whole text.First of all,through the study of the creation process,creation background,emotional value and practical significance of Miners,based on historical documents,the creation subject and works are placed in the historical context to explore the causes of the creation of Miners.Then,in the expression of the theme,composition form,modeling performance,brush and ink language and other aspects combined with specific works to explore the internal factors of the change of the brush and ink modeling language.On the basis of the comprehensive discussion of "Miners",the exploration of the ink modeling and style change after "Miner" was demonstrated,and the new efforts and development of the artists after "Miner" were comprehensively analyzed.Finally,combined with the author’s graduation creation,the paper discusses the influence of the Miner’s Map on the author’s creation,layer by layer,step by step,and strives to form their own expression language in the author’s graduation creation.Zhou Sicong’s "Miner Picture" is a landmark work in Chinese painting,which is worth learning in many aspects.Through the exploration of his ink modeling language,he tries to increase his own interpretation ideas in the appreciation of his ink language.
