The Text Collation And Research Of The Appellations Of The Deities In The Warring States Bamboo Slips

During the Warring States period,with the transformation of social structure and social ideology,new changes occurred in the concept of spiritual belief in society.This thesis is dedicated to sorting out the deity appellations and their sacrificial offerings in a grouped manner based on sufficient collection of materials,and then interpreting the deity appellations one by one,thus summarizing the characteristics of the deity appellations appearing in the brief essays of the Warring States Period,so as to have a comprehensive understanding of the deity appellations of the Warring States Period,hoping to provide a reference for the in-depth study of the deity appellations of the Warring States Period.The thesis is divided into three parts.The first part is the introduction.First of all,I will sort out the research overview of the Warring States Bamboo Slips from two aspects: the discovery and research overview of the Warring States Bamboo Slips,and the research overview of the deity appellation during the Warring States Bamboo Slips.Secondly,the definition of the word "SHEN" and the classification of the research object of this thesis are discussed.Finally,it discusses the significance and research methods of the thesis.The second part is the main body of this thesis.There are four chapters in this thesis.The first three chapters comprehensively and systematically collate the deity appellation in the Warring States Bamboo Slips.According to the type of meaning represented by the deity appellation,it is divided into three categories: "Heaven god" "Earth god" and "Ancestor",and exhaustively organize the occurrence of each type of deity appellation in the Warring States Bamboo Slips.Then,it lists the important research results of the academic community on this deity appellation,and puts forward its own views while combing through these materials,and strives to provide some new evidence for the interpretation of the title of deity appellation,and enrich the research materials of the title of deity appellation.Discusses the occurrence frequency,individual sacrificial offerings,and joint sacrificial offerings of each deity appellation,and finally combs the sacrificial offerings of each deity appellation in a tabular manner.The fourth chapter conducts research based on the previous three chapters,summarizing the characteristics of deity appellations seen during the Warring States period,mainly from two aspects: the use of characters and sacrificial features.The first section lists the differences in the use of characters in deity appellations,and analyzes the reasons.The second section summarizes the characteristics of sacrifice.When sorting out the deity titles in the Warring States Bamboo Slips,it was found that some deity titles often appeared at the same time in sacrificial activities.In this thesis,a table was used to summarize the situation of deity sacrifice;The number of deity titles appearing in the Warring States characters is huge,with a variety of names,showing the characteristics of systematization,and secularization.The third part is the conclusion.Summarize the research contents and conclusions of this thesis,and point out the shortcomings and areas where further efforts are needed.
