Moshkovsky was born in the 19 th century during the Romantic period,a golden period in the development of the Spanish national school of piano music, which saw the emergence of a large number of national musicians.Under the influence of this social background and the national musicians,Moshkovsky was attracted by the diverse national music of Spain and composed a large number of piano works in Spanish style. The Spanish Rhapsody is famous for its ethnic color, technical difficulties, rhythmic complexity and emotional variation, and has great research value. This paper first gives a brief overview of the composition background and analysis of the piece, and then compares the use of folk music elements in the piece from Spanish folk music melodies, dance rhythm patterns and folk instruments, analyzes how the composer combined these traditional folk music elements with the piano, and finally lists how to express this piece from three aspects: touch, rhythm and pedal, based on his own performance experience. In this paper,we hope that through the above three aspects,we can understand and master the spiritual connotation of Spanish music in a deeper level,so that we can better perform exotic Spanish piano music afterwards.
