| Modal particles play an important role in conveying feelings and are also a difficult point for Chinese learners in non target language environments.This paper takes the modal particles in the Japanese elementary Chinese textbook "Learning Chinese Primary[Revised Edition]" as the research object and puts forward targeted suggestions on the compilation and teaching of relevant textbooks of modal particles through textbook inspection,investigation and interview and other empirical research.There are six modal particles used in elementary Chinese textbooks,including "ma,ne,ba,ah,ma,le".We specifically investigated the compilation of modal particles in textbook texts,new words and grammar notes,and exercises.The number of modal particles in the text is fair,but the performance of different modal particles is not balanced enough;The annotation of modal particles focuses on the new words;The exercises are mainly designed with translation questions.We also compared the six modal particles in Chinese and Japanese,revealing the relevant teaching clues and students’ difficulties in acquisition.Some Chinese modal particles have similar means of expressing Japanese mood,which can serve the usage of modal particles.We obtained 30 questionnaires from students of Japan’s Hosei University and mastered the Chinese learners’ views on the learning of modal particles and their specific acquisition status."Ah,Ma,Ba" are the three modal particles with high error rates,and learners also hope to add explanations and exercises on the use of modal particles.Through personal interviews with two Chinese teachers,we learned about the teaching and practice methods of Chinese modal particles,teaching difficulties and hopes for improvement of the textbooks.Finally,based on the analysis of the results of the textbook inspection,survey and interview,some suggestions are put forward for the compilation and teaching of Chinese modal particles: appropriately add examples of "ah,ma" in the text,add a summary display of Chinese modal particles in the grammar point explanation part,and design a modal particle translation question in the exercise part;In the teaching of modal particles,we can reasonably use audio and video materials and increase oral practice activities of modal particles. |
