The Research Of Narrative Of Yuan Zhen And Bai Juyi Fu

Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi held a dominant position in the Tang dynasty literary world,achieving remarkable success in poetry,prose,and Fu,yet they were often overshadowed by their reputations in poetry,causing their achievements in Fu and prose to be overlooked.In fact,Yuan Zhen’s five Fu pieces and Bai Juyi’s sixteen Fu pieces have high artistic value,daring to break through the pattern of regular Fu,achieving innovation in language skills,and presenting positive narrative features.This article selects Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi Fu as the research object and deeply explores their inherent narrative characteristics based on a close reading of the text.The main content of this article can be divided into four chapters:Chapter One discusses the narrative background of Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi Fu.The imperial examination system and scrolling style of the Tang Dynasty,the traditional narrative view of China,and the narrative nature of poetry,prose,legends and other literary genres have all had an impact on the narrative of Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi Fu.In Chapter two,the narrative themes of Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi Fu are sorted out,and the narration of Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi Fu is mainly divided into four categories:mythological history,scenery and travel,vegetation and tools,music and drums,and the content of each Fu is analyzed.Chapter three conducts a specific examination of the narrative structure of Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi Fu.There are two characteristics in the common narrative structure of Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi Fu: the implicit narrative of rhetoric and the narrative paradigm of outstanding achievements;In different narrative structures,Yuan Zhen Fu manifests as a dialogue and question answering narrative method,while Bai Juyi Fu is manifested as a narrative strategy of preface and fiction,that is,the auxiliary narrative of preface and the fictional imagination of the narrative subject.Chapter four analyzes the narrative space of Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi Fu,and places it in the chain of literary history to explore its narrative significance.From the perspective of narrative space,Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi Fu presents two levels: real space and psychological space,with exquisite conception and diverse forms,which are a form of self expression for Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi.From the perspective of literary history,Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi Fu nurtures diverse narrative intonation,improves the narrative ability of Fu,and forms a harmonious narrative mechanism,which plays an important role in the narrative development of Fu.
