| Social interaction is becoming more and more important,and social anxiety is becoming more and more common in people’s life.In the process of social interaction,facial expression is an important source of information about the feelings and intentions of others.In the judgment of trustworthiness,individuals with social anxiety are also more inclined to regard faces as untrustworthy in order to avoid negative evaluation of themselves by others.Individuals with social anxiety also tend to view faces as untrustworthy.In this study,two experiments were conducted to explore the credibility of individuals with social anxiety in judging different emotional faces,to explore the judgment of individuals with high and low social anxiety in terms of credibility,and whether it would affect the judgment of individuals with high and low social anxiety in different emotional scenarios.In Experiment 1,a 2(high and low social anxiety)× 2(credible and untrustworthy faces)two-factor mixed experimental design were used to record and analyze the response time and accuracy.In Experiment 2,a 2(high and low social anxiety)× 2(credible and untrustworthy faces)×3(positive scenario,negative scenario,neutral scenario)three-factor mixed experimental design were used to record and analyze the response time and accuracy.The results showed that individuals with high social anxiety had higher accuracy in responding to untrustworthy faces,and individuals with high social anxiety had shorter responses to positive and neutral untrustworthy faces,and longer responses to negative faces such as fear and disgust.After adding the variable of emotional scene,certain findings were made on the judgment of trustworthy faces of individuals with high social anxiety in different types of scenarios.Individuals with high social anxiety had higher accuracy in the judgment of trustworthy faces with angry,happy,surprised and neutral expressions in positive scenarios,and lower accuracy in the judgment of trustworthy faces with aversive expressions in positive scenarios.In the negative scenario,the correct judgment rate of the trustworthy face was higher for the fearful,sad and disgusted faces.Individuals with high social anxiety had longer responses to untrustworthy faces with fear,surprise,sadness,disgust and neutral expressions in negative situations,and shorter responses to untrustworthy faces with happy expressions in negative situations.Individuals with high social anxiety showed longer responses to untrustworthy faces in positive situations,including anger,happiness,fear,surprise,sadness,disgust and neutral expressions.Individuals with high social anxiety had longer responses to the trustworthy faces in positive situations for fear,sadness and disgust.The response time of happy,surprised and neutral expressions was shorter than that of trustworthy faces in positive situations.The conclusions are as follows:(1)Judging the credibility of different types of faces is influenced by different levels of social anxiety.(2)Individuals with high and low social anxiety can be influenced by different types of scenarios in their judgment of the credibility of different types of faces. |
