Teenagers’ wrong use of the Internet has given rise to aggressive behavior, which greatly affect their physical and mental health. It can be found that violence and competition are the two main factors that cause teenagers’ cyber aggression by combing through the previous studies on cyber aggression, but there is no conclusion on which factor is the main factor causing cyber aggression. It is found that individuals often compare their own ideas with others to gain self-cognition.Therefore,when people are in two different situations of violence and competition, individuals will not cause different levels of online aggressive behavior due to their different social comparison tendencies. At the same time, when an individual is in a violent environment,it does not necessarily give rise to the on online aggressive behavior, and their own perception of discrimination will have an important impact on their behavior. Therefore, how does individual perception of discrimination affect the relationship between violent factors, competitive factors and online aggression behavior. This study consisted of two experiments and one measurement.Experiment 1 explores the influence of violence-competition factors and situation types on online aggressive behavior by means of gamification evaluation.A mixed experimental design of 2(violence,competition)×3(situation type: text situation, video situation, game situation)was adopted. The results show that the main effect of violence is significant. In different situation types, the level of on online aggressive behavior caused by violence is significantly higher than that caused by competition.Study 2 tries to distinguish verbal aggression from behavioral aggression by reading different types of texts. At the same time, the personality variable of social comparison tendency is introduced, which consists of 2(violence,competition)×3(social comparison tendency: high social comparison tendency, general social comparison tendency, low social comparison tendency)×2(text type: verbal aggression, behavioral aggression)three-factor mixed experimental design. To further explore the effects of violence-competition,text type and social comparison tendency on online aggression behavior, and verify the explanatory validity of the general attack model. The results show that:(1)the main effect of violence and competition is significant;(2)the main effect of text type is not significant;(3)the main effect of social comparison tendency is not significant;(4)The interaction between violencecompetition and text type is significant, and verbal attacks can cause network attacks;(5)The interaction between violence-competition and social comparison tendency was significant, and individuals with high social comparison tendency had a higher level of c online aggressive behavior;(6)The interaction between violence-competition,type of violence and social comparison tendency is not significant.Based on the fact that the interaction between the three factors in study two is not significant,Study 3 attempts to further explain the possible paths of violence and competition affecting online aggressive behavior, explain the role of social comparison tendency between violence and online aggressive behavior, and use the measurement paradigm to analyze the impact of violence level, competitive attitude, social comparison tendency and discrimination perception on online aggressive behavior, the results show that:(1)violence level can positively predict network attack behavior, and the predictive effect of competitive attitude is not significant;(2)perceptions of discrimination can play a partial role in mediating between violence and online aggressive behavior;(3)Social comparisons tend to play a moderating role between perceptions of violence and discrimination,as well as between violence and online aggressive behavior. The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)Violence is the main factor affecting on online aggressive behavior. The higher the level of violence, the higher the level of cyber aggression.(2)In the case of violence, the level of online aggressive behavior is affected by the comparative tendency of society.Compared with individuals with low social comparisons, individuals with high social comparisons are more likely to be positively affected by the level of violence, and the level of online aggressive behavior increases more with the level of violence.Verbal aggression is more likely to trigger online aggressive behavior than behavioral assault under competitive conditions than violent conditions.Secondly, social comparative tendencies can mediate the relationship between violence and perceived discrimination. As the level of violence increased, the level of perceived discrimination increased significantly.Compared with individuals with low social comparison, individuals with high social comparison have higher perception of discrimination. However, individuals with low social comparison are more likely to be positively affected by violence level, and their perception of discrimination increases with the increase of violence level.(3)Social comparisons can regulate the relationship between perceptions of violence and discrimination. As the level of violence increases, the level of perception of discrimination increases significantly.Compared with individuals with low social comparisons, individuals with high social comparisons had higher perceptions of discrimination, but individuals with low social comparisons were more likely to be positively affected by the level of violence, and their perception of discrimination increased more rapidly with the increase of violence levels.Discriminatory perceptions can act as a mediator between violence and online aggressive behavior.Violent factors can directly influence online aggressive behavior or indirectly through perceptions of discrimination.
