With the redefinition of museums by the International Association of Museums and the growing public interest in the cultural and museum industry,museums have shifted from focusing more on ‘things’ to focusing more on ‘people’.The emergence of museum experience scenes is the practice of museum exhibition innovation,and is also the product of museum ‘people-centered’.In the digital times,the development of technology and new media has provided more possibilities,and the content forms of museum experience scenes have become increasingly diverse.This paper aims to study how to integrate empathy design concepts into museum experience scenes in the context of the digital times,from visual perspective,and realize it online,thereby meeting the emotional needs of museum audiences and promoting the further development of museum education functions.By studying the theory of empathy and the relationship between empathy and design,and explore the value of empathy design in different fields.Analyze the visual empathy design in the experience scenes of well-known museums both in our country and abroad.Through the research on visual empathy design in different types of cases,it is shown that it is reasonable to integrate visual empathy design into the experience scenes of museums.After conducting a field investigation of the ‘born of canal’ experience scene in the China Grand Canal Museum,I analyzed the scene and proposed that the experience scene did not reflect the issue of ‘empathy’ from various dimensions.To address this issue and other issues in the current ‘born of canal’ scenario,first analyze the application ideas and value of empathy design in the ‘born of canal’ online experience scenario of the China Grand Canal Museum,combining the four levels of audience emotions.Finally,try to incorporate visual empathy design into the ‘born of canal’ experience scene of the Grand Canal Museum of China,and present it through digital illustration and other techniques in the form of online experience scenes,visually bringing the audience back to the bustling life presented by this scene,thereby truly understanding the content conveyed by this scene,satisfying the emotional needs of the audience,and further promoting the sustainable development of the museum.
