The Application Of The Flexible Power Of Fabrics In Contemporary Fiber Art

The application of contemporary fiber art in materials gradually presents two trends:emerging materials and traditional fabric materials,the latter of which means unique to fiber art and lays the foundation for the soft power characteristics of fiber art.Contemporary fiber art developed from textile art,in the exploration of various emerging materials,the application of traditional fabric materials still occupies a unique position.In the long history of evolution,the unique advantage of fabric lies in its symbolic value of warmth,softness and femininity.The softness and warmth of contemporary fiber art are also endowed by fabric materials,and the flexibility of fabric runs through the past,present and future of fiber art,and flexibility is given more colorful meaning in the process of crossing mountains and rivers and breaking the time limit.This paper takes the flexible characteristics of fabrics in fiber art as the starting point,and focuses on the relationship between the flexible power of fabric as a common carrier and contemporary fiber art through the comparison with rigidity.Flexibility is one of the most significant characteristics of fiber art that distinguishes it from other arts,and the soft power transmitted through the material carrier of fabric fiber,in addition to its own soft and warm physical characteristics,has become a metaphor for feminism,humanistic care,socialism and other symbolic languages in art,with the emotional characteristics of human soft care.In order to more comprehensively elaborate the flexible expression of fabrics in contemporary fiber art,this paper mainly consists of 5 parts: 1.The origin of the term "soft" in both the East and the West,as well as the qualities of the aesthetic of flexibility between different cultures in the East and West.2.Interpret the source of flexibility in fiber art from two different perspectives,one is to explain flexibility from the physical perspective of the fabric,from the soft fiber and the mesh woven structure;The second is to explain the development history of the flexible power of fabrics in fiber art from the perspective of culture and history.3.The application of fabric in fiber art conveys the power of flexibility through flexible form and color,flexible space,and flexible concept.4.In the future,the flexibility of fabrics in contemporary fiber art will continue to develop,which is reflected in the concern for people and the environment and the concern for people and technology society.5.Through the understanding and transformation of the flexible power of fabrics,the fabric material is used as a part carrier in personal fiber design to convey flexible aesthetics through practice.
