| Purpose:Through the investigation and study of TCM constitution,TCM syndrome type and etiological diagnosis of 81 children with chronic cough,to explore the relationship between different types of TCM constitution,TCM syndrome type and etiological diagnosis of children with chronic cough,so as to provide information for clinical diagnosis and treatment of children with chronic cough.Provide some new ideas and objective basis.Material and method: According to the "Classification and Judgment of Constitution of Traditional Chinese Medicine" edited by Professor Wang Qi,combined with the observation and understanding of children’s constitution during clinical practice, the "Physical Constitution" was formulated under the guidance of the instructor.Children’s Traditional Chinese Medicine Constitution Survey Form;refer to the ninth edition of "Traditional Chinese Medicine Diagnostics" and the ninth edition of "Diagnostics" to formulate the "Information form of Chronic Cough in Children".September 2019 to October 2021 the TCM-related information of 81 children with chronic cough was collected and the children and their parents were assisted to fill in questionnaire. After sorting out the relevant data,EXECL was used to establish an information database for the obtained data, and SPSS21.0 was used for statistical analysis of the data.Results:1.Among the 81 children included,12 had normal constitution(balanced constitution),accounting for 14.81%;69 had biased constitution, accounting for 85.19%.In terms of biased constitution, the incidence frequency from high to low was damp-heat constitution(28.40%),special constitution(22.22%),yin-deficiency constitution(17.28%),and phlegm-dampness constitution(14.81%).2.Among the 81 children included, the frequency of TCM syndrome types from high to low were phlegm-heat Yong-lung syndrome(35.80%),lung-yin deficiency syndrome(29.63%),and wind-flooding lung-collateral syndrome(18.52%),Phlegm-dampness in the lung syndrome(12.35%).3.Among the 81 children included,35 cases of cough variant asthma accounted for 43.21%.The second was post infection cough and upper airway cough syndrome, which were 29 cases(35.80%)and 17 cases(20.99%)respectively.4.In this study, there is no difference in the constitution, syndrome type and etiology of chronic children with the gender and age of the children, but there are certain differences with the prevalent season of the disease. The most common is the syndrome of wind overpowering the lung collaterals and the syndrome of deficiency of lung-yin(33.3%);the syndrome of deficiency of yin is the most common(92.9%);the syndrome of phlegm-dampness is the most common(66.7%)%);the most common type of damp-heat type was phlegm-heat Yongfei syndrome(91.3%);the most common type of special quality was the syndrome of wind overpowering the lung and collaterals(61.1%),followed by lung-yin deficiency syndrome(38.9%).After testing,χ2=169.755,P=0.000,indicating that the distribution of TCM syndrome types in each constitution of the included children is statistically significant, and there is a correlation between TCM constitution and syndrome types. In cough variant asthma, yin deficiency and idiosyncratic qualities are the most common;upper airway cough syndrome is most common with damp-heat and phlegm-dampness;post-infection cough is most common with damp-heat and phlegm-dampness.After testing,χ2=33.209,P=0.001,indicating that the distribution of etiology in children with different TCM constitutions is statistically significant, and there is a correlation between TCM constitution and etiology. In cough variant asthma, the syndrome of deficiency of lung yin and the wind over the lung collaterals are the most common;upper airway cough syndrome is most common with the syndrome of phlegm-dampness in the lung and the syndrome of phlegm-heat stagnation in the lung;post-infection cough is the most common with the syndrome of phlegm-heat stagnation in the lung Common;after testing,χ2=39.645,P=0.000,indicating that the distribution of etiology in children with different TCM syndromes is statistically significant, and there is a correlation between TCM syndromes and etiology.Conclusion:1.The constitution, syndrome type, etiology of children with chronic cough have a certain relationship with the prevalent season of the disease, which can help clinicians to provide certain ideas for the prevention and treatment of children with chronic cough.2.There is a relationship between TCM constitution and TCM syndrome types in children with chronic cough.Children with different TCM constitutions are more likely to experience different TCM syndrome types during the course of the disease.3.There is a relationship between TCM constitution and etiological diagnosis in children with chronic cough.Different TCM constitution types are prone to different etiologies.4.There is a relationship between TCM syndrome types and etiological diagnosis in children with chronic cough, which can provide certain help for clinical diagnosis. |
