Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Primary Open-angle Glaucoma Of Liver Depression And Blood Deficiency Type With Qingmang No. 1 Prescriptio

Objective:To analyze and evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Qingmang No.1 Formula in the treatment of primary open angle glaucoma with liver stagnation and blood deficiency.Method:There were 41 patients(81 eyes)who met the criteria for primary open-angle glaucoma who met the criteria of hepatic depression and blood deficiency in the ophthalmology clinic and ward of our hospital,including 21 cases(41 eyes)in the treatment group and 20 cases(40 eyes)in the control group.Among them,the treatment group gave Qingmang No.1 square(chaihu 10g,angelica 10g,white peony 10g,codonopsis 15g,poria 10g,baiju 15g,chrysanthemum 10g,goji berry 10g,calamus calamus 10g,citrus aurantium 10g,citrus aurantium husk 10g,licorice 6g,privet 10g)granules orally(one dose per day,water flush,morning and evening);The control group was given Western medicine to reduce intraocular pressure,eye drops,and basic treatment for intraocular pressure control.The two groups were treated with two courses(8 weeks),and the relevant efficacy observation indicators were recorded before and after treatment,including optimal corrected visual acuity,intraocular pressure,mean visual field defect(MD),visual field index(VFI),paradisc retinal nerve fiber layer thickness(RNFL),macular retinal ganglion cell layer thickness(GCL),TCM syndrome score scale and safety index evaluation.Results:1.The best corrected visual acuity(BCVA)of patients with primary open angle glaucoma of liver stagnation and blood deficiency was not significantly improved by Qingmang No.1 Formula;2.Qingmang No.1 Formula has a certain degree of improvement in the mean field of vision(MD)and visual field index(VFI)of patients with primary open angle glaucoma of liver stagnation and blood deficiency type;3.Qingmang No.1 Formula has a reducing and stabilizing effect on intraocular pressure in patients with primary open angle glaucoma of liver stagnation and blood deficiency type;4.Qingmang No.1 Formula prescription has not been found to increase the thickness of the nerve fiber layer(RNFL)of the retina near the optic disc of the patient with open angle glaucoma of liver stagnation and blood deficiency,nor to increase the thickness of the retinal ganglion cell layer(GCL)of the macular region of the patient;5.Qingmang No.1 Formula has an increasing effect on the blood flow density in the macular area and the shallow retina adjacent to the optic disc in patients with primary open angle glaucoma of liver stagnation and blood deficiency type;6.Qingmang No.1 Formula has an improvement effect on the traditional Chinese medicine syndromes of patients with primary open angle glaucoma of liver stagnation and blood deficiency type.7.Qingmang No.1 Formula did not have a significant impact on the liver and kidney functions of the subjects,and there were no adverse reactions during the study process.Conclusion:Qingmang No.1 Formula is safe and effective in treating open angle glaucoma with liver stagnation and blood deficiency.It can reduce the average defect(MD)of the patient’s visual field,increase the visual field index(VFI),improve the perfusion density of blood flow around the optic disc,protect the patient’s optic nerve and visual function,and delay the progression of the disease.
