Acne lesions occur mainly on the face,more often in adolescents,and it happen recurrently.Acne is a chronic inflammatory skin disease that can leave scars on the patient’s skin lesions in severe cases,thereby affecting the patient’s quality of life and bringing negative psychological effects to the patient.This study mainly observed the clinical effect of Professor Zhang Guang Zhong’s self-imposed topical prescription Face Activating Gel in the treatment of acne vulgaris,the main components of Face Activating Gel are Commelina communis,Radix Rnunculi Ternati,Siberian Cocklebur Fruit,lotus beard,Doubleteeth Pubescent Angelica Root,Notopterygium Root,etc.This Gel have the effect of relieve internal heat and detoxification,penetrating pus and eliminating sores,dissipating knots and reducing swelling.OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy of Face Activating Gel in the treatment of patients with acne vulgaris,evaluate its safety,and provide a clinical research basis for the treatment of acne vulgaris.METHODS:Prospective randomized controlled trials were used to blind outcome assessors and data processors.In this project,60 patients with acne vulgaris who were conforming to the popular and pustular types were selected,and randomly assigned to the experimental group and the control group for observation according to the random number table.The experimental group was treated with Face Activating Gel,and the control group was treated with clindamycin phosphate gel,and there were 30 patients in each group.Treatment is to apply the drug to the affected area of acne twice a day.14 days is 1 course of treatment period,and after 2 courses of treatment will enter the follow-up period,and if the subject is cured after 1 course of treatment,the observation will end and enter the follow-up period.The treatment cycle was a total of 4 weeks,and the acne lesions and adverse drug reactions of patients were observed and recorded in the 0th,2nd and 4th weeks of the treatment,the efficacy and safety of the experimental group and the control group were evaluated and analyzed by comparing the indicators before and after treatment.RESULTS:After the end of the 4 observation periods,the total effective rates of the experimental group and the control group were 100.00%and 96.2%,respectively(P=0.482),and the overall growth rate was 46.4%and In 30.8%(P=0.238),there was no statistical difference between the two groups.During the test,1 case in the experimental group had dry skin,slight desquamation,and the probability of adverse reactions was 3.70%,2 cases in the control group had redness,swelling,and tingling of the skin and the test was discontinued,and the remaining cases that met the criteria were 3 subjects with dry skin desquamation,and the adverse event rate was 13.04%.CONCLUSION:This study has proven that Face Activating Gel has a certain therapeutic effect on the inflammatory skin lesions of acne,and the Face Activating Gel is a safe and effective method for the treatment of acne vulgaris,but the results cannot proved that the overall efficacy of Face Activating Gel for acne vulgaris is better than that of clindamycin phosphate ester gel,and the size of the sample can be expanded in the future to further improve relevant studies to prove that Face Activating Gel can be a better choice for clinical treatment of acne vulgaris.
