| Objective:To develop a questionnaire on nurses’ intention to report medication near-misses that fits the cultural background of our country, and the reliability and validity of the questionnaire were tested. Methods:Using purposive sampling method, clinical nurses from two Grade A hospitals in Liaoning Province were selected for one-on-one semi-structured interviews, and the interview outline was designed with the framework of the Theory of Planned Behavior, and it was revised and improved through pre-interview to determine the formal interview outline, the interview data were analyzed by content analysis method and extract the themes.According to the results of qualitative interviews and the Theory of Planned Behavior, the initial item pool of the questionnaire on nurses’ intention to report medication near-misses was established.Invite authoritative experts in related fields to evaluate and revise the questionnaire items by Delphi method.22 subjects were selected for pre-investigation,and adjusted according to the feedback to ensure that the questionnaire was clear and easy to understand.Using convenient sampling method, according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,220 clinical nurses from two first-class hospitals in Liaoning Province were selected to distribute the pre-trial version of the questionnaire, and questionnaire was formally issued to analyze the survey results.Item analysis(critical ratio method, correlation coefficient method, internal consistency test),validity test(structural validity, content validity)and reliability test(internal consistency reliability, retest reliability)were carried out on the survey results to determine the formal questionnaire. Results:Based on the principle of data saturation,17 nurses were finally included in this interview, and the data were summarized according to the Theory of Planned Behavior, and 4topics and 7 sub-topics were extracted, namely: Behavioral Intention,Attitude towards the Behavior(positive evaluation and negative expectation),Subjective Norm(injunctive norms and descriptive norms),and Perceived Behavior Control(self-efficacy,objective obstacles and objective promotion factors).Based on the interview results,an initial questionnaire item pool with 4 dimensions and 41 entries was constructed. Two rounds of Delphi expert consultation were conducted. In the first round,17 consultation questionnaires were distributed, and 15 valid questionnaires were recovered, with a recovery rate of 88.24%.In the second round,15 consultation questionnaires were distributed, and 15 valid questionnaires were recovered. The recovery rate was 100%,and a pre-trial questionnaire with 4 dimensions and 30 items was formed. The results of the pre-survey show that the subjects have no difficulty in understanding the items in the questionnaire, and the completion time is 6-10 minutes.220 questionnaires were officially distributed and 220 were recovered, with a recovery rate of100%,of which 210 were valid, with an effective recovery rate of 95.45%.Through the item analysis and validity test of the questionnaire survey results, the formal questionnaire with 28 items in 4 dimensions was finally determined, and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 61.812%,with the content validity of S-CVI of 0.929 and I-CVI of 0.833~1.000.The Cronbach’s α coefficient of the questionnaire is 0.938,and the Cronbach’s α coefficient of each dimension is 0.858~0.901.The test-retest reliability is 0.929,and the test-retest reliability of each dimension is 0.804 ~0.918.Conclusion:1.The Questionnaire of Nurses’ Intention to Report Medication Near-misses,compiled in this study, contains 28 items in four dimensions: Attitude towards the Behavior,Subjective Norm,Perceived Behavior Control and Behavioral Intention.2.The Questionnaire of Nurses’ Intention to Report Medication Near-misses has good reliability and validity, and can be used as a specific evaluation tool to measure nurses’ intention to report the incident of medication near-misses. |
