| Cave 164 of Mogao Grottoes is one of the caves rebuilt in Xixia,retaining the original paintings and statues of the Lord in the western niche and redrawing the four walls.The murals in the grottoes are very different from other stylized Xixia grottoes,whether they are the contents and layout of murals or the religious and secular significance contained in the grottoes.The grottoes are representative in the reconstruction of the grottoes in Xixia,and play an important role in the in the in-depth study of the artistic appearance,Buddhist belief characteristics and multi-ethnic artistic and cultural exchanges of the grottoes in Hexi region during the Xixia period.Since there is no relevant literature of Mogao Grottoes No.164,and no hard historical information such as inscriptions and inscriptions have been found in the grottoes,it is not possible to determine the exact reconstruction time of the grotto for the time being.The core problem of the study is the subject matter content,text basis,configuration connotation and the idea of reconstruction in Xixia.By analyzing several special image configurations in the 164 grottoes of Mogao Grottoes,the first three chapters carefully comb their image source flow and belief inheritance,and combine the Buddhist records and related documents with the contents of other grottoes murals in Xixia.This paper discusses its image source and belief connotation.The image configuration in the western niche makes the Lord Sakyamuni have both the character of Pilukana and the character of the pharmacist Buddha,and melts the pure land in the cave with the spirit of Huayan.The Zen seal of the East Wall,which is composed of Vilujuna and Manjusri and Puxian,not only emphasizes the character of the Lord,but also embodies the theme of the Tibetan character in the background of the blending of Han and Tibet,which is introduced into the three sacred image system of Han Buddhism,forming a new Zen and Yan San holy pattern,which can be regarded as a new attempt to integrate Han and Tibetan statues;The collocation of the three groups of Manjusri Puxian in the grottoes is only one example in the reconstruction of the grottoes in Xixia,and its special matching reflects the prevalence of Huayan belief in Xixia with the belief of Puxian as the paradigm.The fifth chapter,starting from the whole cave,discusses the whole design connotation,background,thought and merit of the cave by analyzing the multi-huayan structure of the Mogao Grottoes 164 and the thought of the pure land of Huayan and Bodhisattva.Through the analysis of the overall statiction statue structure of Mogao Grottoes,you can see how many Huayan structures in the cave are,and the overall statue of the overall statue of the hole is interspersed,and the Bodhisattva is willing to think.It is of an important role in studying the art,Buddhist belief characteristics of the grottoes in the West Summer.From the part to the whole,we can see that Mogao Grottoes 164 as Xixia rebuilt grottoes,its image configuration and grotto theory thought is a microcosm of religious belief and artistic aesthetics in Xixia period. |
