Research On Xi Jinping’s Important Discourse On Cultural Confidence

Culture is the soul of a society,and self-confidence is an individual characteristic.Cultural confidence is a sense of pride in historical and cultural accumulation,a sense of faith in cultural values,and a sense of expectation for its cultural mission in the future for a nation.With an insight into the characteristics and trends of cultural development both at home and abroad,Secretary General Xi Jinping made an important discourse on cultural confidence and depicted a vigorous and prosperous socialist culture with China characteristics.To study it and explore its value implication can cultivate the cultural energy in people’s minds,and it can be shown as the practical strength for cultural construction.Practicing cultural confidence can unite the common will of the whole nation to stick to the core of culture and to innovate culture,so the nation can tell China’s stories properly and show actual China’s image.Under the guidance of Marxist theory and based on the specific phenomenon of cultural construction in recent years,this thesis uses the method of literature research,theoretical and practical unification,and system approach to analyze Xi Jinping’s series of speeches and articles on cultural confidence thoroughly,expounds Xi Jinping’s fundamental views on cultural confidence,and elaborates the in-depth thinking on the cultural confidence of Chinese nation.The thesis consists of five parts except the introduction.The first part is related to the basic concepts;The second part shows the the formation basis of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on cultural confidence,including theoretical and practical foundation;The third part is the scientific connotation of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on cultural confidence,including the source of cultural confidence,the basic requirement and the core meaning throughout;The fourth part expounds the philosophical implication on his discourse on cultural confidence,including his following the view of practice,connection,contradiction and dialectical method in dialectical materialism as well as the view of the law of social development in historical materialism;The fifth part discusses the theoretical significance of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on cultural confidence and its contemporary value to the development of China and to the progressing of whole world.
