With the rapid development of urbanization and marketization,as well as the strong embedment of various ideological waves and values characterizing modernity in traditional rural areas,complex problems such as hollowing out of rural population,atomization of individuals,and social alienation are emerging.In the context of rural social and economic recession,Rural Revitalization Strategy has become a major strategic arrangement and deployment at the national level.Under the background of the two-way shaping of global localization and growth globalization,as well as the implementation of national strategies such as global tourism,poverty alleviation and rural revitalization,tourism,as a modern force and a symbol of a mobile society,guides rural revitalization,which is a great breakthrough in the concept of one-way rural linear development driven by industrialization and urbanization,and a great impact on rural regional development and development Urban rural integration has a far-reaching impact.However,in the process of transforming the social space of tourism destination from"local space" to "mobile space",the complex stakeholders such as social capital,state power and foreign tourists and all kinds of modern forces behind them rush to the countryside rapidly and strongly in a short time,which makes the social space of rural tourism destination present an obvious trend of tearing and disintegration.Under the background of Rural Revitalization in the new era,the complex changes and optimization of social space in tourism destinations and the requirements of the times behind them are not only the frontier scientific issues that should be concerned by the geographical circles,but also the problems that need to be solved urgently by the rational practice and coordinated development of rural social space.Therefore,based on the background of Rural Revitalization Strategy,with the help of cohesion theory,this paper investigates the internal core and overall logic behind the evolution of social space in tourist destinations,and selects Zhangguying village in Hunan Province and Likeng village in Jiangxi Province as two main cases,and wutiaolu village in Hubei Province as four auxiliary cases to conduct multi case comparative analysis There is an internal logical relationship between development and the strength of rural social cohesion.The change of the core of rural social cohesion and the weakening and strengthening of social cohesion are typical examples of tourism modernization embedded in traditional villages,which are characterized by the digestion and stability of the social space of tourism destination.(2)The social space of tourism destination follows the evolution and development path of "from the ethical standard and consanguinity and geographical connection before tourism development,to the weakening of tourism Embeddedness and cohesion core in the early stage of tourism development,and then to the multiple cooperation and symbiosis of destiny in the late stage of tourism development".The community of destiny becomes the ultimate ideal destination of the evolution of social space of tourism destination.(3)The driving forces to promote the change of social cohesion and social space evolution in tourist destinations are mainly composed of three driving forces:the strong discipline and governance of state power,the pursuit of profits and social orientation of foreign capital,and the relative deprivation and acquisition of residents.(4)From the perspectives of rural material cohesion based on economic interests,rural institutional cohesion based on dominant position,and rural spiritual cohesion based on local identity,this paper constructs an overall interpretation framework of social spatial evolution of tourism destination from the perspective of social cohesion.(5)This paper puts forward the optimization strategies of social space of rural tourism destination,such as the establishment of benefit distribution mechanism to achieve material cohesion,the protection of residents’ dominant position to achieve institutional cohesion,and the reshaping of local comprehensive identity to achieve spiritual cohesion.
