A Study On Reduplication Forms Of Liuzhou Dialect

Reduplication is an important way of word formation and grammatical means,which is widely used in most languages in the world.The reduplication phenomena of Chinese and Chinese dialects are plentiful,and the reduplication phenomena of different languages have both commonness and characteristics.There are also abundant reduplication forms in Liuzhou dialect,due to the influence of urban and rural areas,age levels,other Chinese dialects and minority languages,Liuzhou dialect has a large number of unique reduplication phenomena and semantic types.On the reduplication phenomena,Liuzhou dialect not only follows the general characteristics of southwest Mandarin,but also has its own uniqueness.This dissertation attempts to comprehend the reduplication phenomenon and grammatical characteristics of Liuzhou dialect and explore the uniqueness of Liuzhou dialect overlapping phenomenon under the overall characteristics of Southwest Mandarin from the perspective of language contact by analyzing and deeply studying the reduplication forms in the parts of speech of Liuzhou dialect,provide reference for studying the commonness and individuality of reduplication phenomenon of other Chinese dialect,and provide comparative materials for promoting the comparative study of Chinese dialect grammar and dialect typology.On the basis of field investigation and combined with the existing literature research,this dissertation will give a detailed description and analysis of the reduplication forms of different parts of speech in Liuzhou dialect,and summarize the characteristics of the reduplication phenomenon in Liuzhou dialect.Apart from the conclusion,the dissertation is divided into four chapters.Chapter 1 is the introduction,which introduces the general situation of Liuzhou geography and dialect,reduplication and related research,the significance and practical significance of this topic,as well as the main content,research approaches and methods of this dissertation.The second to fourth chapters investigate the reduplication phenomenon of parts of speech in Liuzhou dialect,and describe and analyze its meaning and function while analyzing the reduplication forms.(补)It can be seen from the investigation results that some unique reduplication forms in Liuzhou dialect exist in Cantonese,Pinghua and Zhuang,and their usage and meaning are the same.Among them,the verbs reduplication forms AXX and AXYA in Liuzhou dialect are not found in Southwest Mandarin and other Chinese dialects in Guangxi,but they are frequently used in Liujiang Zhuang language,which is copied from Liujiang Zhuang language.In addition,the adjective reduplication form "A 死哏 A" in Liuzhou dialect is the result of language contact.The fourth chapter describes and analyzes the reduplication forms and grammatical meaning of nouns,measure words and quantitative structures,and analyzes the relationship between them in grammatical sense according to their close relationship.Through analysis,it is found that nouns and measure words(including quantitative structures)in Liuzhou dialect can express the grammatical meaning of "diminutive","all over" and "mumerous".The final part is the conclusion,which summarizes the main functions of overlapping forms in Liuzhou dialect on the basis of the previous research.
