Study On The Role Of Confucian Cultural Resources In Promoting Ethnic Minority Groups Identitying Chinese Culture

Since the Han Dynasty,Confucianism has become the mainstream ideology of China in the feudal period.The dissemination of the mainstream ideology of Confucianism in the frontier ethnic areas has promoted the ethnic minorities’ identification with Chinese culture and promoted the great ethnic integration in Chinese history.After the Tang Dynasty initiated the system of "integration of temples and learning",Confucian temples became the main places for feudal rulers to spread and teach Confucianism.For Yunnan,before the Ming dynasty,restricted by geographical factors,Yunnan free outside of the mainstream Chinese culture for a long time,but by the end of the Ming dynasty had because of the widespread dissemination of Confucianism and the Confucian temple in Yunnan,prompted Yunnan into a important literature states,promoted the Yunnan into China,the united multi-ethnic country.Taking the largest Jianshui Confucian Temple in Yunnan Province as an example,this paper studies the role of Confucian cultural resources in promoting ethnic minority identity of Chinese culture,and considers how to achieve creative transformation of Confucian cultural resources in the new era to further play its positive role in cultural identity.It is of great academic value and practical significance to carry out the construction of "five identities" and to forge a strong sense of community of the Chinese nation.It is based on the study and research of Yunnan’s humanities and history,as well as the reflection on the nature of Confucian cultural resources and ethnic minorities’ identification with Chinese culture,that I choose "Research on the Role of Confucian Cultural Resources in Promoting Ethnic Minorities’ Identification with Chinese Culture--A Case study of Jianshui Confucian Temple in Yunnan" as the title of my dissertation.It is hoped that the conclusion of the study will play a minor role in improving the cultural understanding of the sense of community of the Chinese nation in the academic circle.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this paper mainly has four chapters:The first chapter gives a brief summary of the Jianshui Confucian Temple in Yunnan Province,including its establishment,development and its contained Confucian cultural resources,showing the typicality of the Jianshui Confucian Temple in promoting ethnic minority identity with Chinese culture;The second chapter formally research the role of Jianshui Confucian Temple in promoting ethnic minorities’ identification with Chinese culture.The research finds that Confucian temple plays a role in promoting ethnic minorities’ identification with Chinese culture in the border areas by three ways:spreading mainstream Ideology of Confucianism,guiding the value orientation of social elites and imsubtly influencing the mass psychology;In the third chapter,on the basis of the previous chapter,further sorts out the mechanism of Jianshui Confucian Temple to promote ethnic minority identity of Chinese culture,and concludes that the mechanism is composed of three parts: the government to promote the establishment of Confucian education system,the dissemination of feudal Confucian culture,and Confucian culture promoting the formation of cultural identity;The fourth chapter is the creative transformation of Confucian cultural resources in the new era and the thinking of further promoting ethnic minority identification with the Chinese culture.It is believed that the creative transformation has three requirements: casting the sense of community of the Chinese nation as the solid purpose of transformation,enhancing the "five identities" as the transformation direction,and taking the excellent culture of Confucianism as the transformation content.In the new era,Confucianism is neither the mainstream ideology,is no longer an official learning.For Confucianism,it should combine the new requirements,adapt to the new normal,promote the creative transformation of Confucian cultural resources to further promote the identity of ethnic minorities with Chinese culture,to realize the new life of Confucian culture in the service of The Times to build up the sense of community of the Chinese nation.
