Classroom is the place where human wisdom is spread and generated,the main position of talent training,and the fundamental battlefield to practice the new round of basic education curriculum reform in China.No matter what mission the classroom shoulders,teachers ultimately need to implement it in teaching.Therefore,the importance of teaching is self-evident,and lead-in,as the beginning link of classroom teaching,is the basis for the success of a class.But in fact,there is an objective bottleneck in the development of English curriculum in primary schools in China,that is,the lack of real English cultural environment for students to learn English.However,the learning of any language needs to be better acquired in a specific situation,so it is necessary for teachers to create specific English learning situations through lead-in in primary school English classes.This study takes the subject of primary school English as the starting point,and mainly puts forward some targeted optimization suggestions for the problems existing in the implementation of English class lead-in.Firstly,this study uses the literature method to sort out and comment on the research status of lead-in and English class lead-in,define the concepts of lead-in and English class in primary schools,and clarify the theoretical basis of this study.At the same time,through the analysis of primary school English classes,the uniqueness and significance of the lead-in of primary school English classes are made clear.Secondly,in order to understand the current situation of the implementation of English class lead-in in primary schools,this study takes practice schools as an example,uses the methods of questionnaire,interview and observation to investigate the current situation of the implementation of English class lead-in in primary schools,and collates and analyzes the survey results,showing the actual situation of the implementation of English class lead-in in primary schools and finding out the existing main problems.The main problems are as follows: the method is not flexible enough,the time is not properly grasped,the design is not targeted,the teaching media is single,and sometimes students are not the main ones.Thirdly,based on the in-depth analysis of the current situation of English class lead-in in practice schools,combined with the observation of English classes and the recorded lectures,the causes of the problems are deeply analyzed.The main reasons are: teachers’ lack of innovative consciousness and ability,teachers’ lack of teaching experience,teachers’ lack of English language knowledge and backward teaching concepts.Finally,by watching the teaching videos of quality English classes in primary schools,taking the lead-in process as an analytical perspective,this paper extracts the parts of quality English classes that are worth learning.At the same time,combined with the survey results and the reflection of researchers,it puts forward some suggestions on optimizing the lead-in of primary English classes,with a view to providing some references for the improvement of lead-in skills of first-line primary English teachers.
