| The left-wing literary trend is a unique literary phenomenon in the history of modern Chinese literature. As a pioneer of revolutionary literature,Jiang Guangci formed his unique concept of revolutionary literature under the joint influence of traditional Chinese educational background and Soviet proletarian revolutionary literature, and created proletarian revolutionary literature under the influence of revolutionary literary concept. There is a complex dialectical relationship between Jiang Guangci’s concept of revolutionary literature and his fictional creation, and the tension between revolution and literature, and between the collective and the individual,is particularly strong in Jiang Guangci. This paper takes Jiang Guangci’s revolutionary literary concept and his writing about revolution in his novels as the object of study, explains the formation of Jiang Guangci’s revolutionary concept, the characteristics of revolutionary writing in Jiang Guangci’s novels, and finally sorts out and analyzes the dialectical relationship between his revolutionary literary concept and revolutionary writing in his novels. The first chapter provides an overview of the formation of Jiang Guangci’s revolutionary literary concept in the line of historical development.During his stay in the Soviet Union and Japan,Jiang Guangci formed the revolutionary literary concept that literature leads the revolution and the revolution makes literature, and re-examined and rethought the issues of the theory of dynamic reflection of literature and the individual expression of literature,so that his understanding of the essence of literature became more profound and his revolutionary literary theory developed and matured. The second chapter compares the characteristics of Jiang Guangci’s writing on "revolution" in his novels.Jiang Guangci’s portrayal of revolutionary characters in his novels tends to be homogenized in terms of character identity, emotion, and consciousness. The representation of the revolutionary movement is characterized by the coexistence of strict documentary and subjective fiction. The third chapter analyzes the dialectical relationship between Jiang Guangci’s concept of revolutionary literature and the creation of novels on the basis of the first two chapters. In his revolutionary literary conception, revolution is a kind of value leading based on rational thinking, while in the novel text, revolution becomes a sensual fiction above the writer’s imagination;collective revolutionary writing is the core of Jiang Guangci’s revolutionary literary conception, but in his creation, individual artistic pursuit is also galloping in the text. Therefore, his revolutionary literary concept and the text of the novel present a complex relationship of both unity and divergence. The tension between Jiang Guangci’s revolutionary literary concept and his creative practice vividly reflects the contradictions and dilemmas of Chinese intellectuals in the twentieth century in terms of identity transformation and writing of the times. An overview of Jiang Guangci’s revolutionary literary conceptions and creative characteristics is of great relevance to the study of Chinese left-wing literary trends and to the consideration of the relationship between literature and society in the current context. |
