| The Fifth Plenary Session of the 19 th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China put forward the strategic goal of high-quality development of education.The high quality development of education is inseparable from the cultivation of high quality students.Basic education is an important stage of talent cultivation,and its quality plays a vital role in the cultivation of talents.At present,there are still a certain number of students with English learning difficulties in high school,which is not conducive to the realization of the goal of high quality development of basic school education.Therefore,the transformation of students with learning difficulties,especially those with English learning difficulties,is of great significance.Students with English learning difficulties refer to those with normal intellectual development,but their English scores are long-term and stable below 90 points(150points),which cannot complete the learning tasks in the syllabus.This study aims to explore the problems existing in senior high school students ’ English learning,analyze the causes of English learning difficulties,and put forward targeted transformation strategies.According to the definition of students with English learning difficulties,the evaluation of teachers and feelings,120 students with English learning difficulties and 90 English excellent students are selected from 30 classes in S senior high school.Through questionnaire,interview and observation,relevant data and materials are collected to comprehensively understand the causes of English learning difficulties and the transformation.The research shows that the causes in S school are complex,mainly including internal and external causes.Internal factors are mainly affected by internal non-intelligence factors,including willpower,learning methods,learning attitude,English learning interest;external factors are mainly affected by external environmental factors,including family factors,school factors and social factors.In order to improve the transformation efficiency of students with English learning difficulties,we carried out some case study by analyzing causes,and obtained some effective and practical transformation methods.Through the research on the transformation of cases of students,the following countermeasures are put forward from different perspectives: Schools: To carry out teaching research of English,develop school-based teaching materials;Strengthening school management and creating a relaxed and pleasant learning and working environment.Teachers:Improve English teaching content,consolidate English learning foundation;Change English teaching methods,improve the effectiveness of classroom teaching;Strengthening teacher training and improving teaching quality;Build a harmonious relationship between teachers and students,with love to promote students ’ growth.Student: Correct attitude of English learning;Sharpen the will to carry out plan of English learning;Learn to grasp the right methods of English learning;Strengthen learning consciousness,establish the concept of lifelong learning.Family: Change the concept of family education;Create a harmony family education atmosphere;Building a bridge of home-school communication.Social aspects: Pay attention to human development and justice of education;Purification of the social environment to promote development of students. |
