| As a powerful country in science and technology,Japan has made fruitful research achievements,especially in the field of biology.Because the author is interested in biology and is willing to read and translate the contents in these fields,and the author has always had the idea of introducing the high-level biological and medical research results in Japan to China.When I was about to start this translation practice,I happened to be entrusted by my friend to translate the book "biology",so I took the book as the object of translation practice.With this opportunity,the author can accumulate translation experience,improve translation level and reserve knowledge,so as to lay a solid foundation for translating higher-level documents in the field of biology in the future.The translation practice object is selected from the book "biology" edited by takaokashi.Under the guidance of Professor Huang Zhonglian’s translation variation theory,based on the nature and characteristics of scientific and technological texts and the characteristics of the source language,combined with the parallel text reference method,the author analyzes from the aspects of title change,sentence rewriting and paragraph adaptation by using the revision,interpretation,translation,compilation and extraction in the "Eleventh translation variation methods",so as to solve the problems,summarize the translation skills,and finally complete the translation practice.In the title translation part,or based on the characteristics of the title of scientific and technological text,apply the method of translation to change some title terms into highly general sentences,or combined with the author’s understanding of the arrangement logic and scientific knowledge of the source language,change some titles in a form more in line with the expression habits of the professional field,so as to achieve the purpose of more accurate transmission of scientific information.In the part of sentence translation,based on the characteristics of scientific and technological text language,three translation methods of translation,extraction and interpretation are applied to reconstruct the sentence structure,complete the sentence content and simplify the sentence expression,so that the translation can more accurately express the scientific content and make it easy for readers to understand the scientific knowledge.In the part of paragraph translation,the compiler method is applied to rationalize the internal logic of the paragraph,and the translation method is applied to change the expression form of the paragraph,so as to make readers easily accept scientific information in a more intuitive and readable form.Through this translation practice,the author aims to study the applicability and innovation of variation theory to guide the translation of biological science and technology texts,study the contents that should be paid attention to when variation theory guides the translation practice,and summarize the practical operation methods of variation theory to the translation of biological science and technology texts.This paper makes a modest contribution to the study of translation variation theory and provides a reference for relevant translators in the future. |
