Marx’s Anti-poverty Thought And Its Contemporary Value

Poverty,as a global problem that plagues the development of all countries in the world,is a universal problem for all mankind.Marx analyzed the general poverty problem of the capitalist era.His anti-poverty thought is an important part of historical materialism,especially the emancipation of human beings,and it is also an important theoretical resource for the success of socialist anti-poverty practice with Chinese characteristics.However,Marx’s thoughts on anti-poverty did not focus on the discussion,but were scattered in various texts,so it needs to be systematically analyzed and sorted out.Marx’s anti-poverty theory was gradually developed and perfected.He creatively put forward his own anti-poverty concept through the transformation of classical economists,utopian socialism and Hegel.Marx did not define the concept of poverty clearly,but according to his discussion,the manifestations of poverty can be summarized as material poverty,spiritual poverty,relative poverty and absolute poverty.From Marx’s critique of capital logic,we can see that the reason for poverty is that the capitalist mode of production leads to the poverty trap,the capitalist political system intensifies the solidification of poverty,the infiltration of ideology produces endogenous poverty,and the lack of natural resources causes primary poverty.From the perspective of axiology,the fundamental appeal of Marx’s anti-poverty thought lies in the realization of the free and comprehensive development of the subject,the common prosperity of the whole nation,and the complete liberation of all mankind.For the specific realization path of anti-poverty,Marx provided a variety of ways,that is,adhere to the leadership of the proletarian party,give full play to the creative role of the people,vigorously develop productive forces,reform the capitalist system,strengthen cultural education and ecological environment construction,etc.With the development of the times,Marx’s anti-poverty thought has been extended in contemporary China.The Communist Party of China implements the people-centered anti-poverty logic,gradually deepens the developmental thinking,insists on structural optimization and institutional guarantee,and forms an anti-poverty theory with Chinese characteristics.Therefore,Marx’s anti-poverty thought still has practical value for anti-poverty in contemporary China and the world.
