The Research On Huang Yu

Huang Yu,a famous literati in the Lingnan region in the middle of the Ming Dynasty,was a native of Xiangshan,Guangdong.There are 49 poems(and 1 of them surviving),known as the“Shuang huai sui chao”(《双槐岁钞》).Huang Yu has written a wealth of works,but there are few studies of Huang Yu by later generations.On the basis of comprehensively collecting and sorting out Huang Yu’s historical facts,this article examines his life and writings.In addition to the introduction,conclusions,and appendices,the main content of the paper is divided into three chapters:The first chapter mainly focuses on Huang Yu’s historical facts,and combs through the general situation of Huang Yu’s life from five aspects: Huang Yu’s family lineage,the same name and surname,life,social travel,and writing,and strives to restore the true appearance of Huang Yu’s life.At the same time,this chapter also focuses on clarifying Huang Yu’s writings and providing the necessary premise for the study of his academic and literary ideas.The second chapter mainly starts from the two aspects of content and form,and comprehensively analyzes the ideological connotation and artistic characteristics of Huang Yu’s poetry.Due to the variety of themes in Huang Yu’s poems,the different ideological interests presented by Huang Yu are also extremely rich and diverse,and the changes in Huang Yu’s mental traces can also be revealed.The artistic characteristics of Huang Yu’s poetry are mostly bixing,good use of allusions,longer than realism,rich in rhythmic beauty and geographical imagery characteristics are more distinct.The third chapter mainly discusses the overall characteristics of the“Shuang huai sui chao” from the perspectives of compilation overview,ideological content,literary attributes and historical data value.The material sources of “Shuang huai sui chao”are abundant,mostly from the author’s personal experience and testimony,historical notes on the past,novels and poetry collections;its content is also very complex,paying attention to the collection of literati poems,collecting anecdotes and recording important events;from the perspective of literary interest,“Shuang huai sui chao”has obvious poetic characteristics and vivid narrative characteristics.The historical value of the whole book is quite high,and the records related to the collection of literature and folk customs are very detailed,which deserves the attention of researchers.Generally speaking,through the collation and study of Huang Yu’s life and writings,we can understand Huang Yu’s life ideas,literary concepts and historical connotations,which can be seen in the literary appearance of the middle of the Ming Dynasty.
