| With the rapid development of Open Educational Resource,the concept of “openness”and “sharing” is widely spread all over the world.Under the influence of the international OER movement,our country’s OER construction has also developed rapidly,while the situation of Chinese teachers’ application of open educational resources in English teaching is not optimistic.On the other hand,although open educational resources have been proved to be beneficial to teachers’ language teaching,there is over-reliance on textbooks in English teaching.Therefore,it is necessary to promote the willing to use open educational resources among English teachers in junior high schools.Based on the above background,the research questions are:(1)According to previous research,what are the factors that may affect English teachers’ application of OER?(2)In the actual teaching situation,what are the factors that really affect junior high school English teachers’ willingness to use OER?(3)Based on influencing factors,how can we promote the use of OER among junior high school English teachers?Focusing on the above problems,this paper completed a model of factors influencing open educational resources usage intention from the perspective of technology adoption,which was constructed by using the survey method and model analysis method:1.Literature Research: This study summarized the connotation of open educational resources,the construction and the use of English open educational resources,and the possible factors influencing OER use.The author determined the UTAUT as basic model,adding the factor Resource Fit and Self-efficacy based on Informationalized Teaching Ability,to build a theoretical model of factors influencing English teachers’ willingness to use open educational resources in junior high schools.2.Research and Data Analysis: In the research,the author conducted a questionnaire survey on 129 junior high school English teachers and found that: Performance Expectation and Self-efficacy directly affect teachers’ willingness to use,while Social Influence,Resource Fit,and Facilitating Conditions are indirect factors that affect teachers’ willingness to use.According to the results of path analysis,Performance Expectation is the most significant factor affecting teachers’ willingness to use OER.3.Strategies Research: According to the improved model,taking the current situation and difficulties in using OER into consideration,the author put forward four advice to promote the use of OER in English teaching: connecting high-quality OER with teachers and improve their confidence in use;supporting the professional development of novice teachers;normalizing teaching research to improve teachers’ ability to use OER;strengthening the relationship between urban and rural schools to promote the development of education.This study constructed a model of factors influencing junior high school English teachers’ willingness to use open educational resources,explaining the current situation of their application of resources,which could deepen people’s cognition of the application of OER in language teaching.At the same time,by analyzing influencing factors,the author provided an empirical basis for promoting the use of high-quality English resources in teaching,and proposed strategies to promote teachers’ use of open educational resources in teaching.Overall,this paper has certain practical significance fore the development of foreign language teaching informatization. |
