| In contemporary illustration,the composition of grotesque graphics depends on the personal expression of the creator,and is a true representation of the creator’s inner world and the picture of his mind.From the perspective of aesthetic development,grotesque graphics provide contemporary illustration with diversified aesthetic feelings and gradually highlight their superiority in the current highly entertaining and commercialized art atmosphere,which is the realistic motivation for the topic of inquiry.The content of the thesis takes grotesque graphics in illustration design as the entry point,mainly focusing on five aspects: overview of grotesque graphics,definition of grotesque graphics,performance characteristics of grotesque graphics in illustration design,creative design thinking and specific application methods.The first chapter mainly discusses the source of the topic,and compares the current situation of domestic and foreign research,and refines the purpose,significance,method and innovation points of the research.The second chapter consists of two parts: first,starting from the word grotesque,the concept of grotesque graphics and its basic structure and principles in illustration design are analyzed.On the basis of this,the components of grotesque graphics are analyzed,and the transmutation of grotesque graphics in illustration creation in terms of expression characteristics,artistic expressions and content expressions are sorted out.Secondly,the concepts of grotesque graphics are defined,and the scope of grotesque graphics in different creative fields and classic case studies are expanded from five aspects: literature,art painting,print advertising,film and television creation,and photography and video.In view of the widespread use of grotesque graphics in contemporary illustration design,the authors in Chapter 3 subdivide the grotesque graphics in contemporary illustration into three directions: extreme strangeness of scenes,extreme strangeness of human bodies and extreme strangeness of characters,and explore the expression characteristics of grotesque graphics in illustration creation from the perspective of creators.Chapter 4 takes illustration design as a guide,focusing on the creative sources and functions of grotesque graphics in illustration design.It also analyzes the increasingly obvious functional transformation in the creation of contemporary grotesque illustrations in illustration design,taking into account the current social and cultural background and the current state of public aesthetic psychology.Chapter 5 illustrates the application methods and performance of grotesque graphics in illustration design,taking unrealistic cartoon images,perverse exaggerated scenarios and abnormal sadness and happiness as the main objects of analysis to reflect the fun and aesthetic nature of the picture.Chapter 6 is dominated by the creator’s personal illustration design,showing the practical results of grotesque graphics in illustration design.The thesis synthesizes the theories of Western Kaiser,Thomson,Bakhtin and Chinese scholars Liu Famin and Wang Wenge on grotesque art.After systematic analysis and creative practice,it is seen that grotesque graphics are apparently the creator’s perverse and abstract artistic expression,but in fact they carry the creator’s profound reflection on the real world,the catharsis of the distortion,horror and dark side of the mind,which is of special significance for the creator to describe the This has a special significance for the creator to describe the grotesque world in his mind. |
