| Lin Fengmian,a pioneering reformer and renowned art educator of the twentieth century,boldly pointed out the direction of development of Chinese painting at the time and explored a new path for modern Chinese painting by exploring the art of bridging East and West with the artistic concept of ’reconciling East and West’.As an advocate and pioneer of the artistic concept of ’harmony between East and West’,Lin Fengmian,throughout his long career in art creation,has persisted in his artistic exploration,fusing ancient and modern art,synthesising the strengths of both Chinese and Western art,and making ’emotion and mood’ a constant pursuit in his artistic creation.In his long career of artistic creation,Lin Fengmian has persisted in his artistic exploration,fusing ancient and modern art,combining the best of Chinese and Western art,and making ’emotion and mood’ a relentless pursuit in his artistic creation.This paper analyzes Lin Fengmian’s aesthetic concept and painting art from a contemporary perspective,and objectively understands the important practical significance of Lin Fengmian’s artistic practice to Chinese painting.Mainly from the following aspects: 1,taking the time category as the starting point,combined with the cultural environment of Lin Fengmian’s time and his personal growth experience,to explore the formation background of Lin Fengmian’s painting art under the theoretical thought of "harmony between China and the west".2,Taking the formal structure and artistic language as the starting point,focusing on Lin Fengmian’s works of art in different periods as the main research object,this paper analyzes how Lin Fengmian breaks the tradition in order to innovate,and expounds the oriental artistic conception and painting spirit contained in his painting art.3,Through the above research on Lin Fengmian’s painting art,this paper further analyzes the far-reaching significance and influence of his ideological theory of "integration of China and the west" and his aesthetic education concept of "inclusiveness and academic freedom". |
