"Education In Drama": Research On The Propaganda Work Of The Central Soviet Area Drama Club

“The state is the people and the people are the state.” The Communist Party of China has been able to overcome obstacles and defeating the enemy for a hundred years.It cannot do without the support of the people,and it cannot do without the ideological propaganda and mobilization of the people.During the Central Soviet Area,in the face of the Kuomintang’s military “encirclement and suppression” and economic blockades,it was particularly important to mobilize the masses,win their support,gather the power of the masses to break the enemy’s "encirclement and suppression",and consolidate the Soviet red regime.The Communist Party of China made full use of the propaganda and educational functions of drama and other arts to mobilize the masses in the Central Soviet Area to identify with the revolution,support the revolution,and even participate in the revolution,and continuously expand the party’s political influence.The Central Soviet Area Drama Club came into being.The Central Soviet Drama Club was born under the background of revolution and war,and its establishment further enhanced the effectiveness of the party’s propaganda work.The "Gutian Conference Resolution" passed in 1929 clarified the important position of propaganda work,and laid the ideological foundation for the establishment of the Central Soviet Area Drama Club.The need for wartime mobilization and the relatively stable environment provided by the official establishment of the Central Soviet Area also provided the possibility for the establishment of the Central Soviet Area Drama Club.In order to further improve the propaganda and mobilization work,the Central Soviet Area Drama Club adhered to the purpose of serving the revolutionary war,gradually built a systematic and complete propaganda and mobilization system,and formed a top-down organizational structure with the central government as the core extending to the troops and localities,and the talent training and rotation tour system,as well as a radial propaganda and mobilization network with the Workers and Peasants Drama Club as the "center".At the same time,under the leadership of the party,the Central Soviet Area Drama Club has established a systematic working mechanism,and carried out propaganda work with the help of flexible and diverse art forms.The Central Soviet District Drama Club adheres to the working principle of adapting to the characteristics of the rural people.By reconstructing rural social traditions and constructing a revolutionary discourse of drama,it composes and performs live newspaper dramas,dramas,musicals and various local operas to reveal enemy conspiracies,expose class oppression,publicize various social movements and disseminate proletarian ideology to the masses of workers,peasants and soldiers.And extensively mobilized them to oppose imperialism and Chiang Kai-shek,and unite to kill the enemy before expanding the Red Branch.Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China,the Central Soviet Area Drama Club frequently carried out propaganda and mobilization work in various parts of the Central Soviet Area.It has played an important role in consolidating the Soviet regime,spreading Marxist ideology,developing the culture of the Central Soviet Area,and enriching the entertainment life of the masses.And its historical experience in carrying out propaganda work has important implications for the development of literature and art propaganda work in the new era.To carry out literature and art propaganda work in the new era,we must adhere to the party’s overall leadership of literature and art propaganda work,insist that literature and art serve the people,continuously strengthen the construction of literature and art propaganda teams,and insist on innovating the forms and methods of literature and art propaganda while inheriting and innovating the excellent traditional Chinese culture.
