The Wind Change Of Bird Insect Seal Printing And Its Influence On Modern And Contemporary Seal Cutting Creation

This paper takes time as the clue.The first chapter combs the relevant historical materials of ancient bird insect seal,describes the "where" of bird insect seal,and summarizes its essential attribute-at first,it is the product of some worship concept,and its characteristics of gorgeous decoration and easy decoration also meet people’s aesthetic and needs.The second chapter analyzes the creative mode of modern and contemporary bird insect seal style,and takes Fang jiekan who tends to "seek seal in printing",Han Tianheng who tends to "print from books" and Wu Zijian who tends to "seek seal outside printing" as examples to analyze and explore the "where to go" of contemporary bird insect seal creation.The third chapter statistics and analyzes the tendency of contemporary exhibition style,summarizes my understanding and positioning of contemporary bird insect seal printing style,comprehensively analyzes various tendencies of modern and contemporary bird insect seal printing creation,puts forward the proposal of returning to the literary humanity and freehand brushwork of traditional art categories,and lists the possibility of the development and extension of bird insect seal printing creation in the aspects of character method,seal method and composition.The fourth chapter mainly describes my personal creative practice.From the perspective of aesthetic concept,contemporary seal cutting creation has undergone new changes under the influence of western expressionism and symbolism,gradually moving from classical to modern.In this process of change,there are probably three tendencies of aesthetic concepts.The first is the traditional tendency to pursue the ancient elegance and ancient Mu interest in classical forms,the second is the expanding tendency to accept the influence of western visual art concepts,and the third is the "respect for the ancient and reform" between the two-on the basis of deeply excavating the classics,reinterpret and shape the classics with modern aesthetics,rather than just pursuing "new" and "change" in form.From another point of view,bird insect seal printing style,due to its special traditional form,can best retain the ancient and elegant interest under the collision of Chinese and Western ideas.The main difficulty in the innovation of contemporary bird insect seal printing lies in the seal method.Most of the contemporary Seal Engravers who have made great achievements in the creation of bird insect seal printing have personalized thinking and practice in the seal method.Throughout the history of the development of seal science,the ancient seal seal as a whole shows the practicability and artistry of advocating "simplicity",which is opposite to the decoration and craftsmanship of bird insect seal seal printing.Nowadays,the concept of "only decoration is beauty" in bird insect seal printing is different from the concept of seal cutting art.After clarifying the branch of bird insect seal in art characters that "changes due to events",the creation of contemporary bird insect seal should return to the ancient classic seal style and other classic materials outside seal,make extensive observation and appointment,and focus on seeking a breakthrough in seal method.
