| The emergence and rapid development of documentaries on COVID-19 has become a creative phenomenon and cultural landscape that cannot be ignored.Generally speaking,disaster literature and art has its occurrence,development,promotion and deepening process,and reflects different concerns and themes of thought and emotion in different stages.A general survey of the creation of documentaries on COVID-19 also shows that with the development of the epidemic in China and the changes in the prevention and control situation,they also show a potential trend of gradual changes in the way of discourse.But what needs to be explained is that because the object of this study is COVID-19 theme documentary,and even the prevailing "epidemic record boom" at that time,the creation and broadcasting of COVID-19 theme documentary is relatively concentrated and the trend of change is obvious from the beginning of 2020 to the end of 2020..Therefore,the division of the epidemic development stage in this paper is completely based on the social background of the "record boom" at that time and the reality of epidemic prevention and control at that time,which has little to do with the subsequent epidemic development situation.This is also fully in line with the methodological enlightenment given to us in the dialectical thinking of Marxist philosophical materialism on movement and stillness: we should recognize that everything is both absolute movement and relative stillness.This paper holds that news discourse is the dominant discourse in the creation of documentaries on epidemic in the early stage of epidemic development.It aims at timely transmission of epidemic facts to meet the needs of the audience for information cognition,and pursues the unity of non-fiction,timeliness and warmth.From the form to the content,there are three discourse representations and corresponding value purport: the "micro-record + news" written by the whole people,the group report of people from the perspective of the common people,and the "warm" report recorded by the forbidding epidemic.At the same time,the article believes that we should be on guard against some documentaries on epidemic subject that are in fact entertainment oriented under the banner of realistic observation and humanistic care,because in these documentaries humanistic care has become a gorgeous coat,covering people’s endless desire for privacy,pleasure,desire and entertainment.With the lifting of lockdown in Wuhan,once the "eye of the storm" of the epidemic,and the gradual success of domestic epidemic prevention and control,the dominant discourse of this documentary has undergone an obvious change,namely,political propaganda discourse.This paper argues that the discourse focuses on the political power subject image shaping,highlighted the achievements of resistance to disease,publicity the political idea of and public opinion guidance and the construction of public psychology and collective memory.The paper finds that the documentaries led by the discourse have presented the panoramic view of the epidemic under the grand political narrative,the epidemic under the metaphor of war,and the spirit writing under the hero narrative,which play a role in displaying the national image,calling for public opinion recognition and promoting the anti-epidemic spirit.On this basis,the paper also believes that some creative ideas of documentaries in this discourse deviate from the basic requirements of social orientation and realistic environment,and need to be further improved.Humanistic discourse is the second discourse change of COVID-19 theme documentaries in China.It was mainly born in the end of 2020,when the epidemic temporarily separated from the lives of most people.People’s normal life,study and work gradually resumed,and the society entered the stage of normal epidemic prevention and control.This paper holds that most of the creators under the guidance of this discourse are intellectuals with strong humanistic care spirit and reflective consciousness.It takes everything in the epidemic situation as the object of reflection,refocuses the recorded lens on people’s joys,sorrows and joys in the epidemic situation,reflects on the changes brought by the epidemic situation to the material life,inner and spiritual world of ordinary people,and on this basis,it improves and condenses into the writing and humanistic care of individual survival value and life consciousness.At the same time,the article also points out that the natural universality of news discourse and humanistic discourse transcends national boundaries and classes,which urges the documentaries not only to show the development of the epidemic in China and the living conditions of its people,but also to show concern and reflection to the people affected by the epidemic all over the world.It can also be said that due to the worldwide and global impact of the COVID-19,the documentary is not only concerned about the domestic people,but also has a broader,universal view. |
