Research On Baudrillard’s Critical Thought Of Symbolic Political Economy

Since mankind entered the modern society,the consumerist consumption concept and excessive consumption lifestyle have emerged and prevailed in many capitalist countries,especially in developed capitalist countries.With the deepening of China’s opening to the outside world of excessive consumption also began to appear in China’s consumption field,and there is a trend of consumption alienation.This paper reflects on the phenomenon of excessive consumption and alienation in contemporary Chinese society,and studies from the perspective of Marxist political economy criticism.From the standpoint of Marxism and using Marxist methods,this paper analyzes Baudrillard’s critical thought of symbolic political economy,points out the influence,significance and limitations of his theory,of major social events on his thought formation;Secondly,it analyzes the theoretical sources of Baudrillard’s symbolic criticism,such as Marx’s alienation theory and production and consumption theory tries to reveal the theoretical analyzes Baudrillard’s distortion and misreading of Marx’s theory,clarify the contemporary value and vitality of Marxism and defend Marxism.In order to make a comprehensive analysis of Baudrillard’s critical thought of symbolic political economy,this paper focuses on three parts.The first part mainly expounds the era background and theoretical origin of Baudrillard’s critical thought of symbolic political economy.Firstly,it introduces Baudrillard’s era environment,and discusses the social development at that time and the influence of major social events on his thought formation;Secondly,it analyzes the theoretical sources of Baudrillard’s symbolic criticism,such as Marx’s alienation theory and production and consumption theory,Roland Barthes’ s cultural symbol research theory,Lefebvre’s critical theory of daily life and Debo’s critical theory of landscape society.The second part mainly analyzes the theoretical composition of Baudrillard’s critical thought of symbolic political economy itself.Firstly,it analyzes the methodological basis of Baudrillard’s critical thought of symbolic political economy,namely alienation theory and semiotic method;Secondly,it analyzes the logicall evolution of his theory from the consumption of things to the symbolization of the whole society;Thirdly,it expounds the main content of Baudrillard’s criticism of political economics with symbols as the carrier,that is,and points out its progress and its practical significance to contemporary China’s economy and society;It points out the theoretical limitations of symbolic criticism theory itself,the core concept of criticism,the object of criticism,and the way out of the symbolic society-symbolic exchange.The third part mainly analyzes the contemporary value and theoretical limitations of Baudrillard’s critical thought of symbolic political economy.Firstly,it makes an objective evaluation of Baudrillard’s critical thought of symbolic political economy,analyzes its theoretical value and practical significance,and points out its progress and its practical significance to contemporary China’s economy and society;Secondly,it points out the theoretical limitations of symbolic criticism theory itself;Thirdly,it analyzes Baudrillard’s Misreading of Marx and defends Marx’s contemporary.Political economy has important enlightenment significance for us to fully understand Baudrillard’s ideological theory,correctly understand the essence and problems of contemporary capitalist consumer society,timely find the possible problems in contemporary China’s social and economic development,and scientifically safeguard the era value of Marxism.
