| English subject core literacy is a compound quality formed by students in the process of English learning,perception,experience and reflection.It has become the latest development direction of English curriculum reform in China to cultivate students’ English subject core literacy.In addition,under the background of "double reduction" policy,English teachers in primary schools are required to effectively improve the quality of classroom teaching and ensure the effect and efficiency of students’ classroom learning.This study used literature research method,classroom observation method,interview method and case study method to investigate the current situation of the use of English teaching resources at W primary school in L city,considered the existing problems from the perspective of discipline core literacy cultivation,and then proposed corresponding improvement strategies based on the problems found in the survey.This study is divided into six parts.The introduction mainly explains the study background,study significance and purpose,study ideas and methods,defines two core concepts of English subject core literacy and English teaching resources,and sorts out the theoretical basis of this study.The first chapter,combining the English Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education Stage(2011 Edition)and the research results of many experts in the field of English subject on the core literacy of English subject,combs the primary school English subject core literacy framework system.Chapter two investigates and summarizes the current situation of the use of primary school English teaching resources through classroom observation and after-class interview according to the framework of primary school English subject core literacy.The third chapter analyzes the core problems existing in the use of primary school English teaching resources from the perspective of disciplinary core literacy: In terms of language competence literacy,the lack of attention to promoting students to master grammar,pronunciation and language expression forms;Lack of training in speaking,writing and reading skills.In the aspect of cultural awareness literacy,the students’ cultural vision is lacking;Lack of the cultivation of students’ cultural confidence.In the aspect of thinking quality literacy,the cultivation of students’ quality of thinking is lacking;It neglects the cultivation of students’ independent thinking and creative thinking.In terms of learning ability literacy,students’ learning motivation is lacking;Lack of cultivation of students’ autonomous learning ability.In chapter four,in view of the above problems,four optimization strategies are put forward: In terms of language competence literacy,competition activities are used to promote students to master language knowledge;Organize English children’s plays to develop students’ language skills.In the aspect of cultural awareness cultural awareness literacy,the cultural theme picture books are used to expand students’ cultural vision;Use Chinese and foreign culture stories to enhance students’ cultural confidence.In the aspect of thinking quality literacy,thematic task cards are used to cultivate students’ independent thinking;Train students’ creative thinking with mind mapping.In terms of learning ability literacy,English learning games are used to stimulate students’ learning motivation;Make use of class English web page to cultivate students’ independent learning ability.Chapter five elaborates the conclusion and reflection of this research.The research conclusion proves that from the perspective of subject core literacy,studying the use and improvement of primary School English teaching resources can not only promote the updating and improvement of teaching resources,but also implement the cultivation of students’ core literacy of English subject in teaching practice and promote the improvement of students’ core literacy of English subject.However,there are still some shortcomings in this study: the cultivation of English core literacy and the use of teaching resources are not integrated enough,and the improvement strategies proposed need to be further verified. |
