| In recent years,"Cyborg," as a visual image,a science fiction element, and a body theory paradigm, has sparked an ever-increasing amount of debate in the art field both domestically and internationally, and artistic practices based on the term are constantly emerging. The cyborg’s "human-machine" bodily structure makes it an appropriate model for ontological concerns in the contemporary post-human society, and it also constructs a visual paradigm of post-human body image in art futurology.Cyborg is a concept that allows art’s consideration of technology to fall into a concrete and material container, allowing art to react to technical-social challenges via a cohesive circuit of human, machine, and creature. However, since the style of Cyborg creation is heavily influenced by the Western culture, some of the creations have become stale and dated. How to create Cyborg themes based on Chinese localities is a question that needs to be explored by art creators. This thesis focuses on the creation of cyborgs, taking the cyborg creation of traditional Chinese iconography as the main research object, firstly,it combs, classifies and sums up the visual techniques of Cyborg’s sculpture creation in traditional Chinese iconography Cyborg creation cases, generalizes cyborg modeling creation methods,at the same time, analyzes and discusses the underlying logic of cyborg creation in combination with "simulacrum theory" and "prosthetic narrative" theory, which are then utilized as the basis for a methodological exploration of the creation of Chinese traditional iconography of cyborgs as a practical example to enrich the style of "Chinese science fiction vision". |
