With the advent of the era of artificial intelligence,the virtual idol industry has gradually become a new direction of development for the entertainment industry.With the impetus of science and technology,the virtual idol format continues to evolve,gradually expanding from the initial virtual singers to virtual anchors,virtual weblebrities,virtual models and so on.The prevalence of secondary culture and participatory culture has laid a good cultural foundation for the rise of virtual idols.Idolisation is a unique way for virtual idols to interact with their audience,and is one of the ways to increase user stickiness and build strong relationships.What operational strategies should be adopted by virtual idols’ operational teams to seek differentiation,This is the main research question of this paper.Through participant observation and case study analysis of the famous domestic virtual idol "Luo Tian yi" and other emerging virtual idols,the study finds that virtual idols seek development through four main operation strategies.These are virtual idol image operation strategy,content operation strategy,fan operation strategy and channel operation strategy.In the main image operation strategy,the styling of virtual idols can incorporate Chinese elements to create idols with local characteristics,while continuously expanding the style positioning of virtual idols to form differentiated idol types,and giving virtual idols personalised personas to make the characters more three-dimensional and fleshed out.In terms of content operation,the official and fans collaborate on content production with a participatory culture to bring more creative energy to virtual idols,and insist on diversifying content development to create a content product matrix,constantly innovating content and presenting better audiovisual content.In terms of fan operation,we have established a community to strengthen the cohesion of fans,while strictly managing the community and stratifying the management of fans to form a standardized and orderly community ecology.Through idol formation and companionship,we strengthen the emotional connection between idols and fans,and continue to enhance the stickiness of fans through online and offline ceremonies.In terms of channel operation,we continue to expand the online and offline communication scenarios of virtual idols,and use traditional media to break through the barrier of the circle and increase public awareness,so that the idols can "come out of the circle".New media platforms are used as a channel to promote multi-platform communication,while brands and real-life celebrities are linked together in cross-border marketing to expand their influence.
