Research On Literati’s Northward Migration And Literary Creation In Liang Dynasty

During the Liang Dynasty,calamity occurs in successive years.The society unrest caused many literati’s displacement.The pain of migration,homesickness and the thought of their conquered country were buried deeply in the hearts of literati,which impelled them to describe and introspect history through literary creation,and eventually formed the literature of the Southern and Northern Dynasties with unique characteristics of the times and artistic value.As it were,north literati group(literati who moved to the northern country)not only had a great influence on the social and political aspects in the Middle Ages,but also played a pivotal role in the cultural and academic aspects.Therefore,this paper will focus on the following three aspects:This paper analyzes the historical social background and the characteristics of Liang dynasty formed by north literati group,and lays a foundation for further understanding of the relationship between north literati group and their literary creation.There is no doubt that the formation of north literati group has its unique social and historical factors.By sorting out the members of north literati group and their works,exploring their common emotions and creative characteristics,it gives us an overall understanding of north literati group and their literary creation activities.Chapter two discusses the emotional connotation through the theme of north literati group’s literary works,which opens a breakthrough for the in-depth study of the ideological connotation of literary works in that time.In the great contrast between life in foreign land and previous life,the north literati’s inner emotional world had indescribable emotional changes.The predicament of living under the support of others prompted the literati to make changes in the content,form skills and style of their works.They refined the description of physical and mental experience,and then improved the new realm of their literary creation,reflecting the connection between the north migration and literary creation.Chapter three explores the academic value of literature in the Northern and Southern dynasties,in order to provide useful reference for further study.The literature of the Northern and Southern Dynasties connects in the development of literature of the later generations.The north literati group added the bleak and vigorous spirit with the characteristics of northern literature to their works.At the same time,the literati of the Northern Dynasty also drew on the beautiful writing style and expression skills of the southern dynasty literature,which complemented each other and formed the cultural tendency of the integration of the north and the South,which had a profound influence on the later literary creation.
