Study Of The Practice Of Running Wall Newspapers In The Rear Area Of The Anti-Japanese War

Wall newspaper,also known as poster,is a simple paper publication which is usually put on the wall and mostly compiled by organs,organizations,schools or individuals.The Rear Area of Anti-Japanese War which contains centered around Chongqing refered to the strategic bases to support strategies against Japan during the Anti-Japanese War,played an important role in national salvation propaganda of the Anti-Japanese War.many excellent editors,journalists and literary and art workers gathered in this area and participated in the Anti-Japanese War propaganda activities by using the medium of wall newspaper that became one of the most active media in the rear area during the Anti-Japanese War.Wall newspaper in the Anti-Japanese War is the research object in this paper which can be divided into the following four parts: first,the paragraph represents an overview of the origin and the development of wall newspaper during the Anti-Japanese War and the Liberation War.Second,the passage focuses on the development of wall newspaper in the rear area during the Anti-Japanese War,which is mainly manifested in the following four aspects: numerous wall newspapers in campus,abundant wall newspapers on city streets,more wall newspaper in rural area,and military barracks wall newspapers.Thirdly,this paper analyzes the practice activities of wall newspaper running in the rear area during the Anti-Japanese War,which is represented by organizational form,content selection,editing technology,publishing and distribution,system management,and other auxiliary methods.Fourthly,this paper makes a brief overall evaluation including the significance and shortcomings of the wall newspaper in the rear area of the Anti-Japanese War.The significance is mainly discussed from three aspects: educating people,promoting propaganda of the Anti-Japanese War,and enriching content of the newspaper.The shortcomings mainly concentrate on three aspects: short publication period,shortage of funds,limited scope of space dissemination and uneven content quality.Wall newspaper is important in the history of modern Chinese news communication.With its own unique charm of medium culture,wall newspaper was deeply embedded in the social culture of China in the 20 th century and became the common cultural memory of people in the Republic of China.After the outbreak of Anti-Japanese War,wall newspaper with its own unique advantages spreaded fast in activities and penetrated schools,town villages,army,authorities,and several other public spaces.It made important contributions to educating the people,publicizing national salvation activities,and enriching the practice of newspapers and showed profound extension and supplement of the news and communication industry in the rear area.
