A Study On Appellation Terms In Shenmu Dialec

Shenmu city is located in the north of Yulin,Shaanxi Province,bordering Shanxi,Shaanxi and Mongolia.In the Atlas of Chinese Language(1987),the Shenmu dialect belongs to the Jin Language Wutai Film.Dialect appellation form is complex and distinctive,is an indispensable medium in the process of social communication,is also an important regional cultural symbol.At present,the research of Chinese dialect appellation has been fruitful,while the research of the appellation of the Jin Language of northern Shaanxi is only scattered analysis,without systematic exploration,and no special research results on the appellation of Shenmu dialect.This paper in Shaanxi Jin Language Shenmu dialect appellation as the research object,preliminary combing Shenmu dialect appellation system,recording and saving dialect features,making the static description analysis for relatives and social appellation from pronunciation,structure,semantic,pragmatic levels combined with the local language usage,digging the unique cultural connotation behind the mining appellation,and then investigating Shenmu dialect usage and people’s language attitude from the perspective of social linguistics.This article is divided into six parts:The first chapter is the introduction.This part mainly introduces the brief situation of Shenmu City and its dialect,lists the system of Shenmu dialect,clarifies the concept and classification of appellation,summarizes the research status of modern Chinese appellation,dialect appellation and the research significance,content,methods and relevant examples of this paper.The second chapter is the exploration of the family appellation language in Shenmu dialect.In this part,the collected relatives are integrated and classified,including paternity,maternal,husband,wife,and other relatives;then analyze the characteristics of Shenmu dialect in pronunciation,structure,semantic,pragmatic and other aspects.In terms of pronunciation,there exist colloquial and literary pronunciation,varying reading of the words,the tone generalization.In terms of structure,the compound,additive,or overlapping forms include the largest number of adjective-noun forms.In the attached formation,the prefix "Lao" and suffix "Zi" have strong word formation ability.In terms of semantic features,most relatives have distinct face and back features,there are a lot of heteronyms and heteromorphic homonyms.In terms of pragmatic features,from his appellation phenomenon is prominent,gender alienation characteristics are obvious,and there are a large number of common name phenomenon.The third chapter is the study of social appellations of Shenmu dialect.Firstly,the social appellations collected in this part are divided into four categories: general appellations,occupational appellations,relational appellations,and trait appellations.It also analyzes social appellation from the aspects of phonetics,structure,semantics and pragmatics.In terms of phonetics,the syllabic structure of social appellation in Shenmu dialect is mainly composed of disyllabic and trisyllabic words,and there are also many polysyllabic words with various syllabic forms,and some words have the phenomenon of variant pronunciation.In terms of structure,compound,additional and overlapping word formation is the main one,among which there are many biased appellations.There is a phenomenon of affix like "Hui","Er","Pa","Han","Jiang","Nao","Song","Pi" and other affix are characteristic.In terms of semantic features,some terms are descriptive and rhetorical,and there are a lot of heteronyms and heteromorphic homonyms.In terms of pragmatic characteristics,most appellations have distinct emotional color,derogatory nature and obvious gender difference.The fourth chapter is the cultural connotation of the appellation of Shenmu dialect.This part mainly starts from the perspective of dialect culture,from the three levels of regional culture,system culture and psychological culture,digging and analyzing the cultural connotation of the products,farming,food,clan concept,marriage system,male superiority,religious belief,customs,folk character of the appellation in Shenmu dialect.The fifth chapter is the investigation of the use of appellation and linguistic attitude of Shenmu dialect.This part starts from the perspective of sociolinguistics.Firstly,questionnaires and field interviews are used to investigate groups with different genders,ages,occupations and educational levels.Then the investigation results are analyzed,and it is found that most common appellations are widely used,some kinship appellations are in the process of variation,and some appellations are on the verge of disappearing.In terms of language attitude,the interviewees’ use of symmetric predicates contradicts their identification degree,but they have a rational understanding of the relationship between dialects and Mandarin,and have a high emotional identification degree on the protection and inheritance of dialects.In the end,it is found that age,education level and mandarin influence have great influence on the use of appellation and language attitude of Shenmu dialect.The sixth chapter is the conclusion.This part mainly summarizes the linguistic characteristics,cultural connotation,usage and linguistic attitude of appellation in Shenmu dialect.
