Elfriede Jelinek was the winner of the 2004 Nobel Prize in Literature.Most of her works take female images as the main body,focusing on the living conditions of women.Her works not only expose the various oppression women are subjected to,but also mercilessly expose the shortcomings and filth of women themselves,and point the edge of criticism at women themselves.This paper selects three representative works of Jelinek,Woman as Lovers,What Happened after Nora Left her Husband and The Piano Teacher,and analyzes the women in Jelinek’s works from the perspectives of marriage,economy and desire.chase journey.Woman as Lovers is a love satire.It shows the love tragedy of women in a patriarchal society.It parodies traditional love novels,subverts the passive image of women in traditional love writing,and shows a love without love.world.However,the purpose of Jelinek’s writing Woman as Lovers is not limited to satirizing love,she has a more far-reaching consideration-criticizing women’s sense of dependence.What Happened after Nora Left her Husband continues Nora’s story.It shows the economic exploration of self-conscious women in society,and reveals that under the ideological erosion of patriarchal culture and the oppression of the capitalist economic system,modern independent women The tragedy of having to return to the family.In Jelinek’s pen,the economic independence of free women ended in failure.The Piano Teacher is a novel about women’s desires.It shows the venting of women’s desires,women’s pursuit of patriarchal power and the struggle for power between women,and reveals women’s identification and imitation of the relationship between patriarchal power.At the same time,we should see that the pursuit of power by women in The Piano Teacher does not bring good news to women,it brings violence and harm to women.The last part of this article will combine the analysis of these three works to interpret the reasons for the decline of women.From the perspective of the creation time of the three works,Jelinek’s discussion of women’s issues shows a tendency to turn inward.She believes that the reasons for women’s decline are There are two main factors: one is the loss of women’s self-consciousness,and the other is women’s imitation of patriarchal power.The loss of women’s self-consciousness has led to the struggle between women and the attachment of women to men,and the penetration of patriarchal power relations has led to the pursuit of power throughout human civilization.By interpreting the pursuit of female characters in the three works,this article shows Jelinek’s continuous and in-depth thinking on women’s tragic fate from outside to inside.This article reveals Jelinek’s criticism and reflection on women themselves.
