| The Shaanxi-Ganjiang-Ningxia Border Area Popular Theatre Company came into being against the backdrop of the anti-Japanese struggle for salvation.As a revolutionary opera group created under the direction of Mao Zedong,it greatly enriched the organization and performance forms of the Qin cadence art,adopting the Qin cadence and Meidu to stage new revolutionary modern opera repertoire,which had a great impact on the military and people of the border area.The Minzu troupe closely combined traditional opera with national revolution and promoted the modernization of traditional Qin cadence and Meidu,leaving behind the experience of opera creation in the course of its founding,which has important cultural significance and historical value.The thesis takes the Shaanxi-Gan Ning Border Area Popular Theatre Company as the object of study.Through the collection and arrangement of existing materials from the Shaanxi Opera Research Institute(formerly the Shaanxi-Gan Ning Border Area Popular Theatre Company),the Shaanxi Provincial Library,and the Shaanxi Provincial Archives,as well as visits to old artists and experts and scholars,the thesis seeks to extensively grasp research materials and examine the artistic practice of the Shaanxi-Gan Ning Border Area Popular Theatre Company in a holistic manner,focusing on the creation of the repertoire,stage The first chapter explores the artistic practice of popular opera troupes in the Shaanxi-Gan Ning Border Region.The first chapter explores the historical context in which the popular theater groups in the Shaanxi-Ganjiang-Ningxia Border Region were founded.By studying the context of the "war of resistance," the Yan’an rectification movement,the Yan’an opera reform movement,and the literary and artistic policies and other activities of the entire Yan’an period,the historical context of the creation of popular theater groups is explained,and the internal and external motivations for the creation of popular theater groups are analyzed;Chapter 2 discusses the creation of plays by popular theater groups in the Shaanxi-Gan’an-Ning border area.The second chapter discusses the creation of modern plays by the popular theater troupe,which undoubtedly played the role of propaganda and mass mobilization and was always in line with the political situation.The overall study explores a system formed by the revolutionary modern plays of the popular theater troupe,and focuses on the creation mode of revolutionary modern plays represented by Ma Jianling’s modern plays as a case study.Ma Jianling’s modern plays were created to meet the needs of revolutionary politics during the Yan’an period,which gradually transformed the popular theater group’s influence from the "periphery" to the "center";Chapter 3 explores the stage performances of the popular theater group in the Shaanxi-Gan’an-Ning border area.From 1939 to 1946,the troupe completed its eight-year "Little Long March" to the countryside,and its "mobile" theatrical performances won the hearts of the workers,peasants,and soldiers in the border areas,promoting the spread and development of traditional operas such as the Qin cadence and Meidu;the Yu Min The participation of the Yumin Theatre Society and many professionals has enhanced the professionalism of the popular troupe’s opera performances and made the stage performances of the popular troupe more aesthetic in opera art;Chapter 4 summarizes the experience of the popular troupe’s opera production in the Shaanxi-Ganjing border area.It is because of the unique opera production activities of the popular troupe that a spiritual connection was established between the Red Drama and the common people of northern Shaanxi.Through its own practice,the troupe has modernized and transformed traditional operas such as Qin cadence and Meidu,innovating and developing them to varying degrees from form to content,opening up a path for the modernization of opera.In the concluding section,the impact and significance of the theater production practices of the popular theater groups in the Shaanxi-Ganjiang-Ningxia border area are evaluated as a whole,and an objective reflection is made on them.The production practices of the popular theater groups had far-reaching effects and received official attention from the Party and the state,and their modern theater productions achieved high artistic achievements and provided a new modernization model for the development of traditional opera,which was especially important for the reform and development of opera during the Yan’an period and after the founding of New China. |
