In the process of continuous rapid development and progress in today’s society,people’s material requirements and spiritual living standards have been greatly improved.However,the rapid urban development has made the scale of the city expand rapidly,a large number of public buildings have been built,a large number of architectural designs have been borrowed so that the public buildings in the city from structure,hard decoration to interior decoration have appeared a high degree of homogeneity in the country,the phenomenon of a thousand cities is becoming more and more serious with the progress of urbanization,and the local culture in various regions is constantly being lost.The integration of works of art in urban public space beautifies the environment while providing the audience with a place to interact with urban civilization,increases the audience’s cognition of urban culture and urban history,improves people’s ideological depth and enhances the humanistic spirit of the city.It can display the culture of urban public space and improve the quality of the positioning at the same time play an important role in enriching the art form of public space and highlighting the urban context.Based on the existing problem of the relationship between perceptual phenomenology and artworks in urban public space,this paper selects the internal space in Xi’an’s representative large-scale urban public buildings,and systematically analyzes the theory of perceptual phenomenology on the basis of unique functional research,and summarizes the current situation of art works in urban public space.On the basis of discussing how the effect of art display in urban public space is discussed,the influence of objective space on art works in urban public space,the influence of audiences on art works in urban public spaces,the influence of art works on the audience,and the influence of art works on the human selection of works of art in urban public space are studied,and the relevant laws and correlation mechanisms are summarized,so as to provide research ideas and models for the system of art work display in urban public space.Finally,this model is applied to the art exhibition design of Xi’an International Convention Center,which demonstrates the feasibility of this theory and fully proves the interrelationship between perceptual phenomenology and urban public space art works.It lays a theoretical foundation and application paradigm for the display of art works in urban public spaces in the future.
