With the country attaches great importance to culture and education,campus culture construction has become an important part of campus construction.Campus sculpture,as the carrier of inheriting campus culture,has increasingly become an important element to reflect the campus spirit.Therefore,the scale and number of domestic campus sculpture construction are increasing year by year.However,in the process of campus sculpture construction,the potential historical and cultural excavation of the school is not enough,and the continuation and inheritance of the campus characteristic culture are lacking,which is the proposition of The Times urgently needed to be solved in the current campus sculpture.Therefore,it is necessary to study the campus sculpture from a new perspective.This paper analyzes the campus culture expression problems faced by Chinese campus sculpture,On this basis,the relationship between "campus culture","campus sculpture" and "campus" is deeply discussed,Summarizes the importance of campus culture to campus sculpture;next,With the design of sculpture under the campus culture inheritance as the entry point,Using the theories,methods and results of related disciplines,And combined with a large number of excellent campus sculpture at home and abroad cases for in-depth analysis,To construct the corresponding design principles and methods of campus sculpture,Using the unique art form of sculpture,Reflect the campus historical and cultural elements,Provide methodological guidance for the subsequent design practice;last,Guided by these principles and methods,Then apply it to the practical project of sculpture design in the Changan Campus of Northwestern Polytechnical University,And to verify its effectiveness by design.Finally,it provides a scientific research method and an appropriate research system to solve the problem of campus culture inheritance reflected in the campus sculpture construction in China.Through the research of this topic,a new perspective to solve the problem of campus cultural inheritance revealed in campus sculpture design.On the basis of continuing and inheriting the campus culture through the relevant interdisciplinary research,the corresponding campus sculpture design principles and methods are constructed,which provides a new method for the inheritance of the campus culture and the campus spirit.The specific application of the principles and methods of construction in the design practice of campus sculpture,expands the research field and practice operation of campus sculpture,further improves the systematization and integrity of the campus sculpture research field,and provides the corresponding reference for the design and practical application of campus sculpture.
