Research On The Optimization Design Of The Way-finding System In Commercial Complex

As China’s urbanization process continues to accelerate,a large number of commercial complexes integrating commercial,transportation and leisure functions have emerged.As a product of people’s "demand expansion",this new commercial complex is created along with the population explosion,which meets people’s demand for urban living space,but due to its tight land use,large building volume and complex spatial environment,the space of commercial complex is different from the traditional commercial space.It becomes very difficult for people to recognize and find their way through the space.As an important medium of communication between people and spatial environment,the importance of guidance system becomes more and more prominent.The guidance system for traditional commercial space is no longer applicable in such space,and most of the research on guidance system in China focuses on the layout and element design of the guidance system,ignoring the way-finding needs of the users of the guidance system to a certain extent,with more evaluative research and less problem-oriented research.Therefore,this thesis takes the design of the guidance system of Shenyang Longemont commercial complex as an example,and takes the way-finding behavior of the users of the guidance system as the entry point to design a series of open field way-finding experiments on the basis of the research on the current situation of its guidance system design.The relationship between the design of the guidance system and human way-finding in Shenyang Longemont commercial complex was explored by means of synchronized tracking records and questionnaires.The design elements of the guidance system were organized into 3 aspects:the visual design of the guidance system,the carrier type of the guidance system,and the carrier location of the guidance system.The study examines the influence of the above 3 types of elements on pedestrian way-finding.Finally,the case study is combined with the current situation research to modify the deficiencies of its guidance system,aiming to summarize the design process of the guidance system of the commercial complex that meets the pedestrian way-finding behavior and effectively improves the pedestrian way-finding effect in such complex space.
